TC Electronic RH750 ???!??

I received mine a couple of weeks ago. I bought it from the US and paid approx $600 less than what I could get it for here in Australia.
I have been a Bass player for over 37 years and cannot recall ever using an amp that is more versatile in shaping tone than the RH750.
My nephew borrowed it for a gig last weekend and txt me "WOW!!!!" that in itself is substantial endorsement.
I personally have only tried it so far at rehearsals and my sound cut through the audition of several drummers.
I am as happy as Larry and could not care less about the whole published wattage issue.
All I care about is that I love it!
Love is blind not deaf.
slawie.

....as in , DI out to the board and EIM for U and the others?

yeah, Line Driver out to desk and IEM with Bass only to me -probably in right ear only so I still use the overall band monitor ( no cab/s) - we have foldback so the band will still hear me but lookiing for a better stage monitoring system for my ears, as I am getting sick of not hearing myself well.
If I used the headphone out on the amp, with a decent set of In Ear buds, would this defeat the DI out? or would I need a separate headphone amp to drive the buds without maxing the "Master" on the RH450
Confusing I know but just looking for a cheaper option than spending $$$$ on a full IEM system

just tried my Boss IE2's (earphones) out of the "Insert out" and it gives me just enough volume to give me a nice mix without the need for an external headphone mixer. Needs the cab plugged in though to give it that bottom end punch on stage, but allows me to dial back the stage volume considerably, and the "Insert Out" coming through one ear only adds just enough "tops' to give me that cut through to my ears that I was after.
Any problem using this set up from anyone else?

I was just in my practice room where I have my RH750 hooked up to an AE410. I've never really cranked that rig before, with the gain at about 10 o'clock and the volume at a little lower than 9 o'clock. I succumbed to temptation and turned the volume to noon. It was unbelievably loud. I don't think I've ever had my stage rig that loud in any venue. Not bad for 236 watts.

Probably the best 236w you've ever bought.

Are you guys using the TC footswitch with the RH750? I'm doing a lot more 2x10 gigs lately and I am finding it hard to position the head so I can see the tuner in that case.

Side note: I finally got to play through a new RH450 + R210 + RS212 yesterday and I didn't like it at all. Seemed to be considerable less volume than my RH750 and it had no high end to it. Very thuddy. I had the treble cranked and nothing. Checked the horn attenuators on the back of the cabs and they were at noon. I'm glad I held out for the Tweetertone'd RH750. I wish I would have had my RH750 with me to A/B the cabs, but I walked away happier with my RH750 + SWR Golight Jr's. I went straight from their to rehearsal and plugged in my RH750 with a single Golight Jr. and thought aaahhh :D It ain't perfect, but it puts out some nice sound, imo.

Yeah, I highly recommend it for those situations, which is when I use mine, as well. I typically have a fairly tall rig the way I use a couple 112's stacked on end, but for the smaller gigs I play with the TC RH, I always bring the footswitch and use it.

I've never used the TCE cabs, but some of the problems may have been phase issues from mismatched cabs (??). The 450 certainly does lose some high end, but to me, "thud" is more of an issue with loss from the mid and upper-mid range. This may be a terminology-translation problem though :).

Cool, thanks Vic. I just put in an order for a used one from Music123. They give a 45-day trial on it, so I can give it a whirl over the next month or so.

BTW, the 236 rating on the RH450 all the sudden made a little more sense yesterday. As does the 450 on the RH750.
