I have seen a 500 FS once (maybe twice) but never the 900....but good luck with your search. I am sure there is one out there.

Malcolm Hall had his for sale but that was some time ago. He might still have it but I don't know for sure. Malcolm is a Brubaker Artist as well. Brad could probably put you in touch with him.
I have a question for all you Puma 900 owners. By design the new Pumas do not have cooling fan and the external chaise works as a heat sink for the heat generated by the power module. Even after only a few minutes of playing the amp get warm to the touch. After a couple of hours the amp is down right hot to the touch. Has anyone else had this experience. I assume that it is normal but has me a little concerned. Have not had any problems but man that baby get hot. This is with a 8 OHM load. Have not tried it with a 4ohm cab.

I've played several loud gigs with my Puma900, and it's never gotten more than mildly warm. I play disco, so even though it's loud and I hit hard, there's a fair amount of space too, so maybe you're pumping more power through it than I am. I've also never felt the need to crank the bass.
I have had my 900 running for more than 8 hours straight (both on and on standby) and it is barely warm to the touch.
Once I put it on standby expecting to come back and practice a bit more and forgot about it until the next day....it was still only slightly warm to my touch.
For me that is using it with both a single 8 ohm cab, 2-8 ohm cabs for a 4 ohm load and a single 4 ohm cab.

nice Mike! I have been very curious about how the 900 would sound with one of your cabs. Please let us know when it shows up.
My Puma 900 was one of the first ones imported over a year ago. I wonder what change they made to keep the amp running cooler? A couple of other things that I am curious about is the structure of the gain knob. It will not clip untill it is turned up all the was and there is really no volume increase until it is at about 3 oclock. I also own a F500 and it sees to be louder and has more headroom that my Puma 900. Wonder if I have a lemon?

I also rarely get the master above 9:00 but that depends on other factors. I am house bassist at a jam and guys will sit in. When I get back up the master is usually cranked up to around noon but they aren't that loud. The gain is below noon so with lower output basses you do need to crank it a bit. But both heads will peel paint of the walls without too much problem.

Congrats Mike.....the PUMA 900 sounds awesome with my 12/6/1 stack and since mine is a composite AON build (and I strongly suspect that your build will be better) I believe you are gonna love it!
