i almost see the need for a bypass or blend, though it would be useless to me. I'll pass on a crap compressor added on as an afterthought, though. This isn't meant to be all things to everyone.

no pics, but it's called the red ripper.
btw, i doubt the vt will put a crimp in sales of tube amps. as great as the vt is, there's just nothing like that feeling of having a row or two of power tubes push your signal. i know a lot of people got it so they have tube amp sounds, but i think those who use a vt and don't use tube amps never intended to have them in the first place. i'm not giving mine up, that's for sure.
D'oh! Just talked to Tech21... while they can't say if they'll be making a rackmount version, they did say that they won't be debuting one at NAMM![]()
is that the way it works? i was thinking it was 6 presets in 2 switchable banks, but it looks like you might be more accurate judging by the labeling. oh well, i'll never need any more than 3 different sounds (clean, grind, dirt), so no matter...might even work out even better with the upright!
honestly, i could do with just the vt deluxe, but that little Multiwave pedal looks extremely hot, too. if it wasn't for the vt deluxe, i think i'd have ordered one. This and a SA Multiwave BD Pro would make for a massively awesome board. I'd never leave home without it!
all the same for each sound, low slightly past 12:00, mid 12:00, character slightly backed off from 12:00, highs at 10:00, add drive to taste.

I like the drive to be right at that threshhold where it just starts to get a bit hairy - and only growls if you dig in. This "tone zone" has always been my favorite sound for Rock n Roll through a nice tube amp. I'm not too into full-on overdrive but the shades of sound leading up to tube overdrive are the best, IMO.
if that's what you're into, you may really like that red ripper pedal. it's got that sound pretty well built into it.This is a great description,I just love the "tone zone" factor too.
I sorta hear the hint of an envelope follower when ya' spank it![]()
OK, Lloyd Schwartz gave me the OK to post the pic he sent me...so here goes:

You may now poop your pants.

ya, i've been using my vt for a fairly aggressive sound most of the time, but since i got that british pedal for christmas, i'm really getting into that 60's british invasion hint of overdrive thing. reminds me of the dave clark five or the animals.Crazy because that's exactly the settings I settled on. (for rock n roll stuff)
