Tech 21 Leeds bass demo

If they would come out with a pedal that could simulate the amp used for Entwistle recorded bass tones circa 1965-1968, I would buy it in a flash.

My Vox Valvetronix combo has a built-in Hiwatt simulation that sounds good for guitar. But this pedal does sound tempting.

Mike Putnam at http://www.putnamguitars.com could put the VT Bass and the Leeds into a one space rackmount and you'd be able to switch between the two pedals.

the mod i want him to do for me is the vt bass and a 500w amp into a single rack space with a built in tuner. i just have to save my pennies. man, that would make setup a breeze at gigs! one trip in, one trip out.

depending on the cab. I think i would want a lot of speakers to decimate people with the tone exuding from that amp...

oh yeah... forgot to mention this. did you hear about the amp mike is working on that mounts right on your pedalboard? i think a lot of folks will be interested in that.

Are these ice power modules up to scratch? From what little I've read they seem to be aimed at the hifi market rather than the instrument amplification market. I don't mean to sound negative I'm just curious.

i wouldn't want it if they did, quite honestly. but that's just me. i like having the separates...keeps confusion down, which is important for me

My prediction is that with digital amps getting cheap and light that powered cabs will become the next popular wave of downsizing. The amp will match the cab, maybe have a DSP built in and we'll just swap out preamps like the VT and others. No need to worry about ohms or anything.

Kinda like Acoustic used to do? that'd be cool, one of the character pedals into the cab below would be a sweet setup.
