This pedal sounds amazing. I was thinking about getting a VT but after hearing this I may have to get this instead. Love that Entwistle tone.
How do these pedals sound when you put them in front of a tube amplifier that is being driven to have distortion already.

I'm DYING for this pedal, I wish I hadn't found out about it so far in advance of its availability.
Sorry if this has been asked already in the thread, I've only skimmed through a couple of pages.
But has anyone else noticed the little push button with a speaker on top of it? It's between the High knob and the On LED.
Is this a speaker emulation switch or a mute? If it is a switch, will they integrate it onto the other models?

Verdict: It's AWESOME! I may just like it more than my VT Bass. So for I'm really loving it with bass and guitar. Instant OX flavor and so much more...

Well Jimmy you did it again, first you brought wind of the VT bass into my life and I ran out and bought two of 'em and now this... My wallet isn't a big fan for yours. Seriously though, I can't wait to go try this pedal out, the end of that clip is the tone in my head.
Okay, I'm a pretty dumb guy, but how are you supposed to use these to their best effect?
I get using these as a DI (with speaker simulation on) direct to the board, makes it sound like you are playing with a Hi-Watt through Fane speakers or whatever. Makes sense.
If not for DI--and without an XLR out, I'd assume the DI route is not Tech 21's primary intent--am I supposed to use these in place of my preamp? So shut of the speaker simulation, bypass the preamp via the effects loop so it sounds like an SVT head through whatever cab you happen to run through?
Or something completely different?

You can run it through the effects loops or straight into the amp like any other stomp box, with the speaker simulation off. Of course, the older VT Bass pedal doesn't have a speaker sim switch, but it's all good, it still sounds great.
