You can also get JohnK's Orange pre pedal if you are into that sort of thing![]()
That may be an even better suggestion. Maybe he will do a Hiwatt version one too!? Hmmmm

There has been discussion of it in John's overdrive/fuzz thread. If I remember correctly, John had an enhanced clone for sale at some point.
Ask him.![]()
I just meant no mention in this thread, as it's about a Hiwatt modeling pedal.
I know the WIIO is one of John's favorites, too.
I'd be interested to see what he would do with something like the Mr. Watt, but I am in no rush to get a preamp. It's way down on my list of desires. If the time to get a preamp arrives, a Hiwatt from John would be the top choice, I think.
You did however cause me to go back to his site, and now I see he is doing a limited run of his FET-F2B Bass Preamp pedal he showed on his thread not too long ago. An alembic F2B clone in pedal form...Now, I don't know, I am trying to stay strong.
I asked him about a boost that day when me and you were messaging back and forth. He told me about the F2B. It really stinks when youre broke and there are all these cool things you want to try with a new ampDont get me wrong, Im loving the new amp, that is why Im so broke, but it still stinks!
I feel ya! I am more interested in the Leeds myself. It would be even cooler to have the Oxford, Leeds and VT all rack mounted with a three way selector switch! Oh YEAH!
I got some seriously bad GAS for a Hiwatt bass preamp now! It's raunchy!
You should check out the ox that Koch picked up. Mmmmm
