Does anyone know who played bass for Teena's 'irons in the fire' album?. She always had great bass lines in her music.

The liner notes say Allen McGrier with James Jamerson Jr. adding the double bass part on Tune In Tomorrow
Oscar Alston, Rick James' Stone City Band member? Even this early Teena was pulling away from Rick. Did she lay down her own basslines on Emerald City?

Back in the early 80's I was playing in an R&B horn band and had just crossed over from playing guitar to bass; these very lines, among others, both kicked my ass—and convinced me that bass is where it's at…a feeling that hasn't diminished even a bit!
