Tell me Fender Precision models with meaty neck

Hi. I want to buy a Fender Precision that sounds fat and full. In my experience, thicker necks give me a thicker sound. I currently have a Road Worn with a thin neck. It sounds nice, but to me it lacks lows and meat.
I got the sound I like with an American Pro by swapping the awful V-Mod pickups for a Pure Vintage '63s, and that seems like my best option. Is a 1963 C, and it's comfortable to me.
Anyway, I wanted to ask you about Fender Precision necks in different models, based on your experience. I'd like to know which models have meaty, relatively thick necks (they don't have to be baseball bats) with a C-shape (I hate the U-shape), and which ones are thinner to me to avoid.

In my experience, the Road Worn, the newer Vintera 2 Road Worn, and the early 2000s Mexican-made models have thin necks Modern-C, while the American Standard has a rather thick C-shape. I've owned three of them, from between 2003 and 2018, and they all had a generous C necks, which is what I'm looking for.

If you want a thick-sounding P-bass, try to get your hands on an old Yamaha BB bass.

I played one just like this in the early 80s, and I still regret not buying it.

Fender Vintera '50's have a huge neck. I believe the Roger Waters Sig. also has a beefy neck

Option 1 : a 1962 Fender precision bass with a quarter sawn maple neck and a slab dark rosewood fingerboard ($$$$$)

Option 2 : a precision Warmoth neck made of quarter sawn maple, slab dark rosewood fingerboard, steel reinforced ($$)

The option 2 is very very close to the original Fender 62 neck.

My friend has both and in a blind test, 9 out of 10 persons can’t tell which is which.

Usually I find 80s P necks to be louisville slugger fat necks (not the 62RI).

Most 70s necks are thick too. My 72 was a baseball bat neck as well

The AO ‘60’s p bass has a pretty thick neck, compared to the p- basses i own ( AV ‘63, AV ‘58, and Squier Matt Freeman). I think it sounds amazing and I love the feel of that bass, particularly with a good set of flats on it. I think these basses are underrated and they came in cool colors!

I recently tried a ‘62 AVRI, at least the one I played had a thin wide neck compared to the other fenders. I wasn’t a fan, but I only spent 10 minutes with it at a guitar center. Good luck !

I can't recall but I put what I think is a 06 MIM P neck on my 03 MIM J bass and it is fairly beefy C shape.....I haven't checked the serial no. lately but it fits my old skinny long arthritic fingers and I figured what the heck, I'll never find a J bass with this neck lol.

The Classic 50's and 50's Road Worn have the old '57 style beefy baseball bat neck.

MIJ/CIJ PB70 has that classic '70s chunky neck at a fraction of the price of a vintage bass.

Not an answer to your question. Allparts P necks are about .90 of an inch @ fret #1. They are my favorite P necks.

The Classic 50's and 50's Road Worn have the old '57 style beefy baseball bat neck.

I own a Road worn 50s P and I think it's a thin (but wiiiide) neck. This bass is fun to play, but I'm not getting the fatness I'd wish.

The original Ps from the 50s had baseball bat necks, the mid 70s also did. The thinnest ones were from about 1959 to 66. My P-Elite from the 80s had a neck a lot like my 62. So look into reissues, clones and used basses from those eras.

Wide at 1.75", but noticeably less chunky than the Classic/Vintera 50. More akin an American Original '60 neck.
