Got this baby today, shipped from mcapote in Miami. 3015LF soon (I will accept no substitutes ). Now just need someone to build me that dual 6", 16ohm cube with a passive, 6dB rolloff below 1kHz....

No need for a number, but I've got a couple of entries for you, here!

First, the fEarful 15/6/1 (and it's little brother):

And a couple of close misses...

The Glockenklang Tedd has a 15" woofer and a 6" mid, but no tweeter. The Accugroove Tri115L has a 15" woofer, a 6" mid, and two silk dome tweets.

The cab with the red baffle is a prototype made for Pete Skjold by Marc Serio which I was borrowing and putting through its paces at the time.

Nice cab man! Are you going to have the mid range cab built?

Hoping someone in this thread with the wood-skills will also wanna try my mid-cube idea (below), and we could split the costs. I don't want a headcase; instead, I wanna replace my 50lb. rack & 70lb. amp and replace with a 10lb. class D thing. Hence the advantage of 2 6" in series at 16oms, as running after the 8ohm 3015LF will equal 5ohms.

Personally, on top of my fEarful sub I want a 7" cube with a $40 Eminence Alpha 6" facing the side (singer & guitarist) and another facing the rear (drummer). I want it 16ohm so with the 8ohm sub I can get my amp cooking at 5ohms with 2/3rds of the power going to the sub. I also want a 6dB rolloff starting at 1kHz (that's -24db rolloff by 60Hz) on the cube. The rolloff-filter should be switchable so the cube can double for home audio/guitar.
Anybody else like to have one of these? By itself it'd be a very compact 200w rms practice monitor. Maybe Greenboy could design it and add it to his page?

Correct, because once you put in a crossover between the two, the impedance doesn't work like combining series cabinets.

There's also other reasons the idea isn't that sound. At a lower crossover point like 100 or 125 Hz it'd almost be worth doing. So much of the information I've tried to impart in fEARful and other threads would lead one to that conclusion - or to resources that would. Part of the glory of DIY is that people can learn stuff.

Anyway. It's more efficacious to have a dedicated monitor for the drummer, one that is dealing out both bass guitar and whatever else he wants to hear more of, which almost always seems to include kick. And guess what works real well for that?
