I saw these at NAMM this summer in nashville. Ehhhhh. He claimed they worked because they kept the capacitors in an amp charged at all times, instead of fluctuating under load. He didn't know I was studying to be an electronics engineer, and didn't know what the hell i was talking about when I asked him several other questions about it. I'm still skeptical.

Again, Victor is guilty of nothing here. He has been fooled, as many others have been and will be. Vic is not an engineer. He really doesn't know better.

I won one of these in a raffle at one of Victor's camps, and I gotta say:

I have no noticed one iota of difference. The only thing I notice is that it's much more durable. It also wobbles in the head due to being slightly smaller, but that doesn't affect performance.

Victor uses these. Used them long before he put his name to them. And having met and spent time with Victor at his camp I can tell you that he's clearly a high enough integrity guy that he wouldn't put his name to something unless he was convinced that it was fundamentally a better product. Whether it is or not is besides the point - but I can assure you that if VW is endorsing it, he genuinely believes it is better/worth it.

Although, just because he's a great musician never invoked any sort of discernment ability.

Iv'e been to a "Vic" clinic also...I wouldn't bet my life, on Vic not being "swayed" by a dollar-bill.....They did a lot of sellin' for the "Hartke" stuff...
It sounded "GOOD"...but I think he could play ANYTHING...and it would sound great...
Why not make a few bucks?...
"If "I" play it...it is instant GOLD!!!"

Nope. Who's to say that the reason he uses them is because they sound better? Maybe he uses them because as he's traveling around the world with his $10k basses and his thousands of dollars of other gear - he just doesn't want to worry about a stupid $5 power cable. So he drops a hundred bucks and never worries about them again.

I been using these for years! They really seem to help. I tried everything thing on the market and lost hope and finally gave up. Then one day while shopping at a Music store, a sales rep suggested that I try these and lo and behold, I finally found the answer to all my problems. Wow I couldn't believe it! After all this time of searching! I Highly recommend these to anyone who is experiencing the problems I've had. Best part is, At a reasonably inexpensive price, How could you go wrong??? Try one today and you will be glad you did and you"ll surely thank me for it! :bassist:

As has been covered very thoroughly in the other threads about this cable, people who buy and use these products aren't dumb or abnormally gullible. They have just fallen prey to clever marketing, lack of information, and the power of suggestion, which is extremely potent when it comes to our auditory senses.

If you ever get some spare time, it is useful to find out how our minds process auditory stimuli. Also look up the Mcgurk effect.

Many times when it comes to distinguishing minute differences between similar audio samples or sources, the actual suggestion of difference can be more convincing than any actual difference.

You're correct. Buying one doesn't make someone inherently dumb or gullible.

What DOES make someone dumb or gullible is being presented with the busload of research in a forum like this and disregarding it. I'm sure there are more than a few of those types around.
