Malkin in the Man.
Blah.
Edit: I'm not a linesman, but wasn't Malkin offside when he scored the game winner?

Malkin in the Man.
I'm surprised no one posted after the Penguins game.
i'm just gonna say this.
that was a goal.
Cept that his glove covered up any evidence that it went over the line.
Sucks about Coburn. I hope he can make it for game 3. Hatch had to play almost a half a game. That has got to be tiring.
Let's Go FLYERS
Playing with a broken stick is a penalty. Often, a player will drop a stick, and not want to take a chance on getting called, so it stays on the ice. In the defensive zone, if a defenseman loses his stick, a forward will usually give his up. Referees or linesmen will move/remove the stick when the play moves away from the area the stick is.
SID GOT ROBBED!!!!!! Any Flyers fan knows it. But, Hatcher got a ticky tacky penalty on that hooking call on Malkin. We scored nine seconds later, so it evened out.
Philly came out and beat us up all night long. I thought they were much more aggressive and physical, which is what scares me. I think this is the kind of team that can beat us up and take the series. But being up 2-0 right now, and winning despite getting our butts kicked makes me believe the series is ours. I really think the veterans are helping the young kids on our team. The acquisition of Hossa is proving HUGE right now.
I like hockey, but not like some of you guys. I follow hockey only because my hometown has a team. I need some help from someone who really knows hockey....how come a guy doesn't pick up his stick after he drops it? Is that against the rules? I saw a Pens defensemen without a stick pick one up and hand it to a team mate. What was that about? Also...why don't the refs stop play when a broken stick is on the ice? At one point, Malkin broke a stick and the broken stick interfered with a couple Pen's shots but no one stopped play.

I'm not sure if it is outlined here, but you should really take a look at it if you want a better understanding of the rules of hockey. I think that lack of understanding is what makes it hard for most people to get into hockey. Icing and Offsides especially.
Picking up a puck during play is a penalty too.
Crosby's 1st goal ('cause he shoulda had a 2nd goal) was 'soft'.
Philly's Power Play looks pathetic.
Where was Briere last night?
Again...maybe it's me-
Crosby's 1st goal ('cause he shoulda had a 2nd goal) was 'soft'.
it's not perfect, but it's probably the best replay system of any of the major sports.Once again the NHL shows it has a LONG way to go to make replay work.
