Thanks for identifying that. My system or checking didn't pick it up because it was typed with an underscore and without an underscore. #38 means you've been onboard with the 5-string Club before I resumed giving numbers.Hey, I have two numbers! 38 & 601. Feel free to recycle one of those.![]()
#601 Stevorebob - Helluva collection you have there!
#650 mapleglo - Outstanding! Where did you get the 5-string Ric's? Were they conversions by Ric5?
Amazing! It's rare to see the original 5-strings. I don't have the skills required to embark on a conversion job. Thanks! The Mapleglo 5 string, 2nd from the top, is a Rickenbacker 4003S/5, so it's a factory Ric 5 string. The white 5 string Ric, I built from scratch.

I sort of like the new Rick 5's from the recent NAMM show, but I'm not really into the design of the new pickups. If I got one, I might be tempted to add a pickup cover.
I hope to start seeing reviews when they become available. Thanks! I actually have a new 5 string Ric on pre-order. They're saying early summer delivery.
It’s a player. It’s beautiful. And it sounds great. I love the 2-band EQ. Mine arrived set up poorly — not what one would expect from SBMMs claims and Sweetwater’s normal inspection. It took a while to get the bow out of the neck. But once set up, it plays wonderfully. Nice quality at that price point — not EBMM quality, but not EBMM price.Nice grouping. How do you like your 35ca?
Picked up one last year out of curiosity.
