This'll be kind of tough, since I don't really remember how many of certain things I've had, but I'll give it a shot. I just moved a lot of Fenders which certainly skews things as a whittle down the collection of crap. Things that are currently in my profile, I still own and haven't been included in this list.

1 Lakland
2 Warwicks
1 Rockbass
1 Brice
1 Rickenbacker
2 Hofners
1 Eastwood

1 Musicanman Bongo
2 Gibsons
1 Jerry Jones
3 Danelectros
1 Dean
3 Epiphones
1 BC Rich
1 Hamer
2 Spectors
1 Hagstrom

I'm probably missing a few but I also played a lot of old Japanese cheapies that I used to pickup at Subway Guitars for cheap. Kents, Teiscos, Zimgars, Firstmans, etc This doesn't count the assload of Squiers I've had (I currently own 2, used to own 7 concurrently at one point) or Fenders (which I seem to go through fairly quickly) I recently sold about 6 Fender basses and I currently own 15 basses.

EDIT: Forgot that I bought a SX once...

Damn!

Got some bass buying to do. And I thought I had a problem. pfffft!

50+, thats for rookies I'm waiting for the 100+ club.

Should edit to add that would be Fenders only.

That made me laugh!

When I started this club, I was kinda irritated that TB had so many dopey "clubs". <screechy little boy voice> "I've got a Lakland!" "I've got a Tobias!" "I've got a fretless! </ screechy little boy voice> This club was actually started as a joke -- I didn't think anybody (well, maybe bovinehost, Templar, Wilkins and Chef) was as GAS-y as I am......

Plus, if I was gonna join a club, I wanted a low number, not some 4-digit marker in the stratosphere.....

I really didn't figure that the old farts like me would come to appreciate a club where we could take pride in the amount of GAS we'd experienced.

Here's how it came to be 50: I did a quick count of my own axes and hit 50, and was sort of amazed -- so I figured that would be a good cutoff.

There's a couple of cats here who could hit 100 -- I'm close -- but it's probably be better to call them the "pathological flippers club" or something.....

So, Bone, you want a number?

Why would you want that many???

It's not how many you have right now. It's how many you've owned, lifetime.

I don't have anywhere near 83 basses right now. I've sold some off, upgraded to others, etc.

But it's like women (or men if that's your thing -- not that there's anything wrong with that). You might finally settle down with one (OK, maybe more than one in certain parts of the US) but there's nothing wrong with spending some time with a number of them along the way to see what works for you......

And not to get all Wilt Chamberlain on you, it's more socially acceptable than bragging about the number of women we've slept with.....

Thought I was close but I can only recall 23 (have 5 at the moment)
