a drummer friend of mine said he saw one of these 402 cabinets in great condition at a music store this past week-end while playing out of town for $150.....and the bugger didn't buy it for me:crying:

Yeah - absolutley. The ON/OFF for the horn is a good idea as I don't like a tinny, brassy sound much, but I do use it from time to time.

The B-600H on the B-810 is a killer setup and has all the punch I need to fill very large venues and yet it calms down to a roar when I want to play the Cheese & Wine open patio instead of the indoor cafe. Still though, there's always the VOLUME knob.

You won't be stressing the B-810 with the Wattage, that's for sure and who knows, you may want to go for the big brother B-600H later on too.

Lots of good sounds and power from 200 Watts, and don't forget it.

Would a 200w head be loud enough for a small venue if it was coming through a 8x10? and say I had the 200w 1x15 combo and then I had the 8x10 with the 200w head, would the cab sound louder and more defined at a higher volume?

We are talkin' a B-200H - right? The B-200H will work at 200 Watts @ 4Ω with no problem.

Here's what I'd do, if it were me though. I'd buy the B-200H and either a pair of B-410s or a pair of B-115s, and that way you are using the amount of cabs you need for two possible venue types: larger or smaller.

You can split them up or stack them and you get twice the bang with the same head.

Just a thought - but I know that the B-810 looks pretty wicked and it's very tempting to want to just buy it.

I use the B-410s or the B-810 interchangeably, and of course with a total load of 2 with the B-600H, I have a little more power than you - but I've heard the B-200H used as you want too.

One very wicked thing I did once - was stack my two B-410s and add my B-450 on top of the whole tower for 10x10s and 3 horns.

Lots of good combos out there - just use your imagination.

I have really bad GAS! A local shop has a B600H with B410 that I want so BADLY!!!! I own a B200 that I love and will never get rid of! :bassist:
So I'm thinkin that with the B600H, I'll have everything I need to play any type of show if I would buy another 410. So the big question is..... should I go buy the amp? :confused: I think I know the answer already!:smug:

I have a couple questions for you, if you don't mind! :help: Looks like you have a lot of experience using acoustic equipment.

With this setup of B600H and 2 B410, how big of a venue can I play? I don't need much bigger than a medium size and most places I want to play at have PA's so I have that support. All the places that I play now just use a 410 with about 500w so I am good there.

I've played a few rodeos and line dance venues, many out under the stars and filled the place pretty well without PA for the bass or the guitars.

The B-600H + 2 x B-410s will work as well as you'll prolly need and I don't often have to put the B-810 on line too unless I'm playing a 40-acre gig.

Inside 4-walls and the B-600H with the pair of 410s is gonna vibrate the building. We have a 1/2 acre wood and metal building under one roof for square dances and more CW/Western shows and I have to keep the volume down or the building shakes.

Well, I finally found the time to post a pic of my new B450.... remember that this was the "second" one after I had to send the first one back due to a bad driver. No rattles, buzzes, pops, etc. at all on this one.

This thing can really put out the sound, (even without a big driver) and handles my low B very nicely. The 2x10's add a nice color of mids (which is what I like) and I really like the added features on this much better than my old B200 combo: parallel speaker out (vs. serial), option for post-eq line out, frequency notch on/off switch, and a mute button on the front. I added the Ernie Ball casters from my old B200 so I could roll this beast around (nearly 80 lbs!).

This one was also very slightly dinged up along one edge with some nicked Tolex, so I got MF to take another $45 bucks off.... so I'm very happy to have gotten this new B450 for $399.99, no tax, and free shipping (twice) :bassist: ... I gotta figure MF lost money on this transaction having to ship 2 overweight amps to and fro from Kansas City to Florida.

Here it is with my Squier VM Jag and it's little bro' (B20):

Here's the B450 fitted with the vinyl cover from my old B200.

As you can see, it is a little short in the length and the handles don't line up to the openings due to the extra height, but it still does a nice job of protecting it.


Anybody (Joe?) know if Acoustic is gonna sell a B450 combo cover?
