I'm about to upgrade to an Avatar 4x10 Neo, I like the B600H but the B810 just seems like it's lacking something. I might play around with it some, maybe try my GK 700RB-II with it.
Time for me to fess up.
I opened the B-810 and took all the dacron/polyester dampener out of it and spray-glued (Dupont-77) felt blanket material into it.
If you do this - do NOT just staple it in. It must make fuil face-to-face contact with all the surfaces except the area where the speakers mount.
I then added small triangular pieces in the corners, and this can be stapled in - but be sure to go through the glued in material at the same time with the staples.
Personally - I've done this to all my cabs and combos, really.
I like to use natural fibers, as I feel they keep what I might (mistakenly) call 'transients' out of the sound reproduction a lot better than artificial fibers. It's an absorption verses reflection thing I feel. It just sounds more 'human' to use organic material.
Wool. cotton and felt are all organic, although certain binders and adhesives are used in their manufacture.
As sure as I am that I stated that (above ^) - I'm also sure that someone will take exception to what I've stated. But it works for me.
I love the looks of the 810!!! There are too many shows where I'm crammed on a tiny stage, keyboardist whinin that she can't hear a thing (never used ear plugs in her life) so I went with 2 cabs, and depending on the stage set up, I'll haul in the 15, or that and the 210 and stack 'em.

I mistakenly turn the head on a few shows ago, with no cabs plugged into her. I heard sound coming through the system, since I had the DI plugged in already. Realizing what I'd done, I quickly turned the amp off fearing damage. Nope, it's fine.
Leaves me to wonder, can a guy use the di on this head only, like a recording out, with no cabs?!

It is my considered belief that a solid state amp can run successfully with an infinite load on it (no speakers).

Don't know much about amps but I have some basic circuits\electronics knowledge (I am a computer engineer). This would be an open circuit, which can be modeled as an infinite load but really isn't. It's an open circuit. On a solid state amp it wouldn't do any damage.
I have zero experience with tube circuits. Would love to read what the more experienced amp people here have to say too.
This would be great, if my B600H could be used without speakers. Mainly, I'm thinking of at church, plug into the system, use the shaping, but not have an amp to mix around. Could be really helpful sometimes.

Get me a number, I bought a B200H used as a backup head, but lately have been liking it so much my Markbass SD800 has been the backup to the b200H.

My pleasure! Great to see more and more folks gathering here who appreciate the power of Loud and Blue! And to think, this started the day I bought home a B200H head, been very happy ever since.
I was very surprised by mine once I got it home and hooked it to my cabinet rig. It was supposed to be a backup but lately has superceded a much more expensive and high wattage amp. It has forced me to reevaluate the way I look at my rig expense priorities, head vs cabinets.

Yeah...same boat here. I traded in a SWR SuperRedhead 350/210 combo with a BBE tube preamp. I only had to cough up $117 on the deal, and couldn't be happier with the performance! Played festivals, small clubs, and every time I dig what's coming out of the speakers

heading to GC tomorrow to trade up to a B450 from my B200. It's me birthday tomorrow as well precious, so I'm treating myself...plus taking advantage of the holiday sale.

13) Three-speed cooling fan (undocumented, but it works that way)
............makes it all really nice.
Let me know when/if you want to operate the Notch and Standby from a foot pedal. The factory has no idea which one works, nor do they even sell one. But I KNOW!

Thanks SurferJoe...will do. I love the tone I'm getting from my B200, just need that push over the edge with B450 plus all the other goodies S-J listed. Playing in a 6 piece old school punk/new wave band, I find myself pushing the 15" in the B200 a bit....
was not able to get the trade up for the B450 last week,but......
looky what I scored today.....for $200.....great condition, amp is a little scratchy (pots need a good cleaning) - cab just needs a little sprucing up. Over all....hell yes! loud as hell and tone out the arse!
A friend / band mate found it in a out of the way music shop whilst playing out of state gig with another band. Found it,called me with details, hauled it back today...sweet!!!
I know I already have a number but would this constitute a letter added (#305 b ?)
