Okay. Wow! :eek: I just got really excited! :hyper: Where did you find this out? (Linky?) Are there any other surprises?!

Yeah, of course its 5 benjamins, just unable to focus. (Although the head is still under 500 benjamins too. haha! :smug:)

Here's my 230. Technically a guitar amp, but bass sounds great through it! I just picked this up for $150. Does anyone know where to get a couple of those sliding knobs on the eq? Matt

They pop up occasionally on eBay, but from what I understand they can be pretty pricey. The guys over at the Unooficial Acoustic Forum might be able to help you out.

not pictured is the acoustic 404 6x12 i just picked up for 200 bucks. it's in almost mint condition! if played with enough treble so as not to damage the speakers (this was actually a guitar cab) it sounds great!

i'm also having a very good condition 201 cab sent to me soon, and picking up a 270 head to match next weekend!

Holy crap...looks like I'll be owning one of these too:hyper:. This was exactly what I was looking for, going down to 2 ohms is a definite plus!


Of course I can't imagine how loud this one will be though. The B200H is incredibly loud for it's rated wattage. It easily keeps up with the Shuttle.

Nice, hopefully the sound will rival the B200h.

And nice marketing move on GC's part; question for my fellow B200h owners: who (else) is going to feel compelled buy to B600 as well? :hmm:

Yeah -- no GAS shortage here, folks. And delivering 600 watts at 2 ohms is a cool and useful differentiator from the B200H. I do hope they keep the EQ approach the same, though, rather than going to a graphic EQ.

I know what you mean. The whole graphic EQ thing never amde as much sense to me somehow. I was always able to just sit down and tweek a full EQ a lot more effectively and quickly. In fact, it was that more so than the 100 watt difference that made me initially purchase the B200 over the B100.

Bit of a derailment here, but I need some Acoustic expert opinion.

There's an Acoustic 220 at a local used shop that I've been looking at.

I finally played it and the thing sounded fuzzy even at low (3-4) volumes.

I EQ'd it flat on the sliders and knobs, turned the bright off.

Never having really sat in front of one and played it, I was wondering if this fuzzy tone was actually the sound of the thing, or if it represented a problem bad (expensive) enough to throw a wrench into my purchasing plans.

I played it with the shop owner's modded, passive PJ-bass of unknown workmanship.

It's also been clearly abused. The sliders are all crazy bent. They still work but the look awful.

I want an acoustic really bad, but Im worried about buying something thats been neglected to the point where it has to be completely overhauled, thus negating all the mojo.

He has it listed at $300. I think that's high for its condition, but I may be wrong.

any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
