Very weird indeed, even I had this same situation. I went to GC, cash in hand with my mind set to walk out of there with the Ampeg. So, I saw a few new amps that I had never seen before and decided to try out the 200 watt combo just for a larf. The thing blew me away and I just completely dropped the idea of having the Ampeg. Next thing I know, I am having the most fun of my life jamming with the B200 + B410! That's why I'm proud to be #25 here. :D

You will be able to run the B600H through the B410 and B115. This will give you a 4 ohm impedance and the B600H will operate at 450W.

Pics forthcoming

The first piece of 5 (Acoustic dream bass rig) is now finally in my possession! :D She's actually the oldest. Sounds Sweet! She's close to 30 years old and still kickin'! Go Acoustic Control Corp!!! The other four newer pieces will come in good time. I've only had a little time to play her myself but my son's bands' bassist will be giving her a work out tonight. It will be nice to stand in the back and hear what she does. More later.

The guilt was killing me. Finally, here are some pics. This is # 1 of 5 pcs. I went true Old School for the first piece. The others will come in time. I'm happy to report my sons' band absolutely rocked at their high school last friday. :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

I was extremely proud of their performance. They are just getting started, but for the short time that they have had so far together as a band I was really impressed. Their potential is even more exciting as all of them appear to be more into musical substance rather than hype.

Yes, the Acoustic Model 126 was there and carried her notes powerfully low and her head high!:cool:

Their performance was held outside on one of those portable fold out stages. Pretty nice set up. One of the more exciting parts was into their 3rd song, nice build up part, they blew the power to the stage coming from the power truck! The crowd when nuts! The drummer went into a short solo hoping the juice would kick back on soon but after a 20 minute impromptu intermission the stage was then re-wired back into the school's building power. Ah yes, Good Times! :D

As a high schooler myself, I am veerrrrryyy jealous that your son has access to a 126. So were my bandmates after I told showed them the pics. Hmm...I guess the B200 is still pretty good though. Sigh..... ;)

No worries, my son is actually one of the guitarists, although he digs it too, I was lending the 126 to his bassist friend who's almost nuts about it. Yes, there is no guessing, the Acoustic B200's are awesome. He has another friend who just got one not too long ago and loves it. A little heavy (that's not always a bad thing) but still small for bass gear and definitely delivers. I couldn't pass up the 126, it was like buying a serious piece of history...that still freakin' rocks! It was wierd in that it went for cheap cause nobody knew what it was or how to work it. I mean it sat at a GC in used equip. for 3 weeks where anyone could see it until I decided to check it out just to see how bad off it was. Nothing "bad" here! Another awesomely pleasant Acoustic surprise! The B200 is a very nice piece, you should be very happy with it.

I just spent a couple hours playing with both a B200 combo, and a B200H head and matching 1-15" cabinet. I'm looking to buy a head, I'm not a big combo fan, but the darn combo actually sounded considerably better than the head & cabinet! Has anyone else noticed that? Is it because of the smaller cabinet size for the combo? It certainly isn't what I was hoping for.....to me, the combo kicked butt, but the B200H with a separate cabinet lost something, was harder to dial in the sound I wanted....

The B200 combo is running at full power (200W into 4ohms). From what I understand the B200H into a 1x15 loses some power because the B200H is designed to run 200W at 4 ohms, but the B115 is an 8 ohm cab. As such, the B200H into the single B115 sounds a bit off. Most of the reviews of the B200H into a B115 have been lackluster, however I have heard good things about the B200H into the B410 alone, the B410 and B115 together or into a pair of B115s.

Possibly because the internal speaker in the B200 is 4 ohms, giving you the full power output of 200W, while the B115 cab is 8 ohms. IIRC that limits output to 140W.

That makes sense, I hadn't even thought of that. In the past, I never noticed that much of a tonal difference when switching from an 8 ohm cabinet to a 4 ohm. Too bad Acoustic doesn't make a 4 ohm version of the 115...:(

I hope my partially fabricated title may get some attention to this issue :D Although I wouldn't doubt if Mr. Lee would seriously dig Acoustic, sure sounds great with his signature Jazz bass! But, oh yeah, he can't get one to even try out...Why?...because he lives in Canada! :mad: This issue has come up before. Now, from what I understand, Canadians can get Acoustic B100's but apparently nothing bigger. Absolutely makes no sense to me:scowl: Hopefully someone from Acoustic will read this, as they often visit here, and properly address this issue so that all us loyal and fanatic Acousticians can know why they are keeping our friends to the north from experiencing the Acoustic powerfully awesome bass tonal bliss which is just wrong in principal and not BTW by any means in Acoustics' best business interests. I hope we here something soon.

LOL, nice to know I'm not the only one who digs the Geddy sig & the 200. :bassist:
Here's a radical idea, get in contact w/ Ged and get him to try the Acoustic stuff. Maybe he can be influential on the invisible border between sales in the US and the Great White North, eh? :p
