The Acoustic Club

I'm in! I LOVE my 371! You haven't heard a bass until you play through one of these monsters. What a glorious kick to the chest these rigs put out!

I'd certainly like to acquire a 406 2x15 cab to pair with this head, but in the interim any recommendations?
Well certainly stay tuned here because we share collective observations of vintage Acoustic Control gear we happen upon in our individual wandering. I bought my 320 Head here as well.
Im sure we'd all be delighted to help you watch for an available 406, now will that be wide or regular?
Oops that was a 220. You'll need wide or you'll look like elephant ears.

I already have a 220+406w, but I heared so much nice words on the 402, that I just had to jump on it. It also has the removable side wheels, which is nice because I could share them with my 105 and 201 cab. This gives me following stack combo:

150+105 (guitar)
270+201 (guitar/bass)
120/220+402
220/270+406w
270/402+406w (rig from hell)

The 402 is my desert island cabinet, it has been with me 36 years! I rarely use the 140 head though, not a bad head at all but I like to have better EQ options and a DI so an EBS Fafner is my to-go head. I mainly play 5-strings nowadays so I have put Fane sovereign 15-400's in the 402 which gives me a cleaner/louder B-string response. Still have the original Eminence 130040-B's in storage.
As you can see, the 140 head has a red power switch instead of the usual two rocker switches I've seen on the 140's in this thread. I've only seen one another 140 head over here (Sweden), and it also had the same red power switch. I wonder if this is because of Europe and 230V/50hz ?

My favorite ACC combo

My 402 came used from GC fitted with EV Force 15's. Apparently in that same process it went from Acoustic's nifty floating strategy to being bolted in.

Fully tested at home it sounds great and I can fully understand how this could become a desert island fave. I have yet to gig it so I'm not quite fulfilled, but big cab gigs are 1-3 times a year lately. Might take a while.

I had a pair of those Force 15s years ago. Loved them. Who made those?
