It was for my 126 combo. I would run the 126 stacked on a 1x18 Sunn cab powered by a Sunn SPL power amp being driving by the 126's preamp out. Glorious tone back in the day!TBT

I would slow it down with a very light coat of oil. None on the electronics.Do you guys think I need to deal w/ the surface rust on the chassis?

Well certainly stay tuned here because we share collective observations of vintage Acoustic Control gear we happen upon in our individual wandering. I bought my 320 Head here as well.I'd certainly like to acquire a 406 2x15 cab to pair with this head, but in the interim any recommendations?
Very nice!View attachment 3134468 I'm in! I LOVE my 371! You haven't heard a bass until you play through one of these monsters. What a glorious kick to the chest these rigs put out!
yesIs the 402 cab the same width as 220 head?
I had a pair of those Force 15s years ago. Loved them. Who made those? My favorite ACC combo

My 402 came used from GC fitted with EV Force 15's. Apparently in that same process it went from Acoustic's nifty floating strategy to being bolted in.

Fully tested at home it sounds great and I can fully understand how this could become a desert island fave. I have yet to gig it so I'm not quite fulfilled, but big cab gigs are 1-3 times a year lately. Might take a while.![]()
