The Acoustic Club

HEY EVERYBODY, I'M NEW HERE, I'VE GOT AN ACOUSTIC MOD. 126 COMBO BASS AMP .
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY COLORED PICTURES OF THE INTERNAL CIRCUTBOARDS , REASON :
THE PERSON WHO GAVE IT TO ME UNSOLDERED SOME OF THE WIRES TO THE CENTER POWER BOARD AND NEVER PUT THEM BACK . SCHEMATICS OR PICS WOULD REALLY HELP ME PUT THIS BAD BOY BACK TOGETHER
AGAIN. THESE 126s ARE SWEET AMPS...
PLEASE HELP...PEACE
THANX:cool:
I LOVE my 126. Lately I'm running an interesting experiment sending my Xtomp programmable pedal into the power amp input set on a modern EQ patch as a preamp.

The power amp/speaker cab combo sounds amazing with modern EQ as well. It really demonstrates the validity of those old designs.

Hey man that's great!

But you don't have to yell... lol...

Done with the G100T, what's next. The 127. Sounds great with the 402, and same width. That drive channel is prettig sweet, from tube like OD to nasty raw fuzz tones. My kind of Amp. Sorry mr. Combo, time to chop your head off :)

I think that cab had a better bass response than the 126 cab imho :)

I have a couple of Acoustic 1x15 model 404 cabinets which are essentially the same as the 122 cabinet but without a chamber for the amplifier chassis. I've never owned a 126 to compare, but the 404s sound great, like half a 106 or 402. I also have a 118 which has cabinet just like the 122 except a little narrower, and it has great bass response. With their rectangular port holes, they all look somewhat like an EV TL606 although they don't have the short internal port tube.

Interesting, my 120 head is the same exact dark color scheme as your 122. Guess they're from the same period.

The 120, 122, and 126 amplifiers are exactly the same except for the model number stenciled on the front.

That was my head for 20 years back when. Yes, it sure sounds good!
And, like, nothing for eq! But between Bass, Treble, the Bright switch and the Tone knob on my bass, you can keep it up out of obscurity. And it seems to have a really pleasant voice inherent. Hits me in a very good spot.

Lol, dammit! Now when I get the speakers back, that'll be that, I s'pose. Fine...

Well, if I'm honest I'll admit I used a 10-band MXR EQ in front of it into a 402. ...fattened it up very nicely!
