I've been experimenting with my Xtomp pedal both in front of or in preamp out/in to add EQ, boost or effects.
Fun stuff with my ACC heads/combo

I also have the Acoustic 320/408 rig. That was my main bass "stack" from 1981 to 2005.
The 408 cab weighs 160lbs. And the 320 head weighs 46lbs. I had to downsize when the bars I played at that didn't have a stage wouldn't let me use the 408 cab. I changed over to using a Fender Pro 400 combo with it's 1x15 ext. cab. The stack puts out 700 watts. The combo weighs 85lbs. And tha ext. cab weighs 60lbs. That was my main bass "stack" from 2006 to 2014. In 2010, I got a SWR Headlite Mini-amp head as a back-up. In 2015 I paired the Headlite amp with an Ampeg 2x10 mini-cab. The Headlite amp weighs 4lbs. And the Ampeg cab weighs 26lbs. That set-up puts out 200 watts. The Acoustic 136 amp to the right, was given to me in 1971. It weighed 70lbs. That was my only bass amp from 1971 to 1981. It put out 100 watts with a 1x15 and was rebuilt in 2010. It now puts out 200 watts and weighs 82lbs. The Acoustic bass cabs. sound louder the farther away you get from them.

Cool, you don't see that many 408 cabinets.

They do appear to be Acoustic-Eminence speakers, but there's hardly any chance they're original to that cabinet.

It's hard to make out the code numbers on back, but it looks like the date code might be 1977 which would pre-date generation-3 cabinets. The first digit of the year, written in magic marker inside the cabinet and peeking out from behind the other speaker, looks like it might be an "8". That would also make it unlikely that it's an early-run cabinet loaded with the last of the older alnico speakers before changing over.

FWIW, the only speakers I've seen in 3rd gen cabinets is the 130040-C by CTS with a round ceramic magnet and the 130040-D by Eminence with a square ceramic magnet.

I do recall seeing you post those pics before, but what you have are Alnico "B" versions rather than square ceramic magnet "D" version. It's conceivable that they are original to your cabinet, it would just be the first Alnicos I've seen in a generation-3. Do you recall if good ol' Ralph autographed and dated the inside of your 406w in magic marker? If there was a 1977 date inside that would be further indication that your drivers are original.

Of course you know I won't rest now until I open the 406w AND the 126c with your info in mind to see what's what.
I remember looking at the 126c driver and I think they all three are identical.
Also to look for signatures.
Problem is I'm nursing a broken bone in my foot and I'm not at full capability for another month or so.
