OWL.... I really feel honored as being recognized twice: You have me at #237, as of today, but I joined this club as soon as I read your link on the "unofficial AC " site. So.... You registered me then,as #123..unless I can have dual membership for being the original owner of a 1974 AC 370, as well as a 2009 GC AC B200.....LOL... Now if that is my big problem other than a Georgia heat wave, then I am doing well. My excuse for being behind in computer skills is my age..56, so do I should I update my info to list club memberships? If so, I am a member of a few other clubs that I would be honored to include[ Kustom, Squier, Zon, Rickenbacker]...although I don't have a digital camera to prove anything that I own, except by those who met me at the Ga. GTG....I only brought my B200, 2009 Squier Jazz De Lux 5, Korg Pandoras Box and a tool box full of cords and such. Any advise on updating my info is appreciated. Thanks....zon6c-f...#123 and..237!!

Keep it out of the sun - it will get hot. It IS black you know!

Pay attention if you are running an amp'd stomp or an Active bass, other wise if you don't do any of that, run in the Passive mode.

A stomp box is a preamp, ya know!

So beware that you are hitting the preamp with a preamp stomp signal, for double pre-amping! Just a caution.

Start with the EQ flat across the board and Notch out the higher freqs if you're not slapping and popping.

I usually don't run my Pre over 50% and the Vol much more than 50-60%. I'm running 600 Watts and I know I was farting the 2-18 aux cab I was plugged into.

You might have the same cooling fan circuit I just found I have in my B-450.

It has three undocumented fan speeds (imagine that!)and when it hits the top speed - I assume it's the top speed, but it might have just one more to go before it thermals out - it will really be humming hard pumping a lot of air!

There's no documentation on the Acoustic website about any of the fans or even if they exist, and never are you gonna hear about the multiple speeds except as an anecdote.

I was really putting the heat to my combo pretty hard to get some punch through three guitars, a full set of drums and two keyboards and two singers.

I was also running the standard 2-10s and the horn OFF but I had also added the studio Hartke 2-18 at 4 Ohms to the bottom of it.

I was pretty close to the lower limits for impedence at about 2.66 Ohms.

It ran all night - 9 hours that way - but it was over 100ºF in the studio. So I cannot fault the amp in any way. No AC that whole day! I lost 4 lbs though so it was all good.

You won't get as much power at 200 Watts compared to my 600 - and I am not totally sure of the multiple speeds in the cooling fan - but it seems to be likely in the 200s too.

These units are pretty well overbuilt.

in a band setting you are going to need more power. I would buy another one and link them. with 2 you won't have to crank the volume so much and you'll have more headroom for clean tone. when I was in a band I always had at least 500W

Very Happy to have added a ACC 140 to my collection here recently. It's awesome. Works well using the 1 x15 in the ACC 126 combo cab and the AA B115 or the AA B410. on the ACC 140, I think the two channels are identical and are there for quick tonal change outs between songs kinda dealio. Either way, they still seem to be working great after all these years. I can't wait until the new acoustic USA models start rolling out! Good things take time, great things take a little longer.

Although I'm still eagerly awaiting my next issue, word has it that the next BGM (Bass Gear Magazine) issue is supposed to feature all that is acoustic and great. The history, the people, everything both older and new. I'm really looking forward to it as I'm sure many here will. Everyday the acoustic resurgence gets closer!!!

I'm hoping to be able to join this fine club!!!

I love this amp!!!! I have to keep the volume at about 10 o'clock so I don't drown out my band. I have more power than my guitarist 200w amp!!!

Has anyone supplement the b200 with a 210 cab? I have a Hartke 210XL cab on the way to hook up and see if I can get a little better mid to high tone.

Oooh baby, I was lucky enough to find a model 300 today which I promptly snagged. I'm beyond stoked about it. It's in excellent condition and I got a sweet deal on it, the only problem is that it's an export version that runs on 220V and I am in Canada where we have 110V. I'm not sure what to do yet, but at the worst, I'll just get a step-down transformer. Here it is with my 140 and a Peavey Black Widow 1x18" that I got a couple of days ago.
