I intensely dislike having to make adjustments on a small touchscreen. Doing it live during a song would be a mess. I don't really do effects aside from a comp, so 95% of that would be worthless to me.

You're almost there - all that is left is to link the control panel viz Bluetooth to an iPad. You MAY even be able to put the preamp on an iPad, then send the signal to the power amp by bluetooth. Like with wireless PA speakers..

However, this amp will have 256 bit AD/DA conversion at 210 kHz with a dedicated modeling processor.

So it’ll have 1,536db of headroom above the noise floor and be capable of reproducing frequencies up to 105khz and make use of the world’s shallowest anti-aliasing filter. Rather than 256 bits of fixed point bit depth I’m surprised the designer didn’t opt to use floating point math, enable scaling and get to even higher resolution with tech available in 2024… but I digress

Actually, something like this concept is sort of my dream rig, just not set up quite like that, all in one unit with a phone sized screen.

I watched a rig run down on YT a while back for a major band that I don't recall right now, and they used AxeFX with all the patches for tracks and even subsections of tracks set up, then called via MIDI and it made a lot of sense to me. Though not needed for a cover band typically, I could see it being a great way to dial in specific complex setting with a 1 button push. Add a large capable FRFR speaker and a power amp and that's what I'd like, providing the MIDI controller was large and easy to use and program with say a screen simply to display some data like the preset name, and a scroll/push button wheel to select the preset.

That's pretty much how I've set up my pedal board so that I can arrange the settings in sequential order according to my current set list and then I can just scroll through the setlist 1 button press at a time.

I see a rendered product concept presentation for an amp in rectangular product housing that incorporates a touchscreen UI; not any new or particularly more user-friendly tech.

It's a conceptual mashup to create an incremental shift in product typology. There isn't anything wrong with incremental shifts in themselves. What matters is whether the change makes the tool or device better hence the question, what makes this better? The touchscreen with the presented product probably wouldn't transform the form factor to be thin, light, and slick enough to allow the user to conveniently slip this amp into their pants or jacket pocket and go.

…..like a cellphone, maybe, if I have to but hopefully I wont, not because I hate on tech but because I hate the modern idea that all tech (and more) is always better. Options are great sometimes, so is simplicity sometimes.
