I don't want to step over any TB lines, but if you TRULY follow the money, in the US there's more of it from fewer, private, financially biased sources trying to suppress even the discussion of global warming than there is on the other side. We didn't need another mixed cabs thread anyway

Every now and then I come across something that makes me dust off the old slip-stick (slide-rule) and do some interpolating.

Fifteen cubic feet internal volume seems to be what's required to deliver 103 dB efficiency along with -3 dB at 45 Hz.

I need to find a more optimistic slip-stick.

Of course the "specification" I posted was widely overdrawn (unrealistic), thus lacks any serious integrity.
It was meant as a kind of metapher addressed to the void phrase "speaker size means nothing but speaker size"

I totally agree that argumentations like above are based on a way too otimistic slip-stick, at the other hand those optimistic slip-sticks are very common tool in marketing departments (unfortunatelly not there only).

I understand both sides of the continuous mixed drivers debate. When I was a broke kid, I used to mix drivers all the time.... never ever had a problem.
Later, I got a Peavey Tmax 210 combo with the "matching" 15" Black Widow cab. I blew that 15" speaker out 4 or 5 times....never understood why. I always figured I was EQing the amp wrong. It wasn't until this old guy who owned a tiny amp repair shop explained it.
I still remain nuetral in the debate though. I know other bass players that never seem to have a problem with mixing drivers. I don't mix them myself, however.

They're trying to sell cabs. The SVT-15E is a great little cab, but IIRC, handles only around 200 watts, which is way less than the SVT-410HE.
