cause "generic" matching 12"'s don't do the same thing like a good "balanced" mixed rig can do?Why all the agonising over 10s and 15s when you can get 12s and worry about something -- anything -- else?
I'd wish all of the cab manufacturers get an insight it's better to design exclusively cabs with extended lows loaded with 10" drivers and definitely quit with a unique voicing (just say good by you legendary EVM series drivers).
It seems like the average does put no value on MI voiced cabs anymore.
If I was a pro cab builder I'd give more respect to extended low end instead of trying to design cabs with good efficience and distinct musical character.
Very likely, the more "neutral" sounding than the better sounding, the more of low response, the more of Xmax, then the more the cab is an absolute winner.
