I haven't spent more than a few minutes playing through this rig yet, but it sounds great!

I picked up the Sonic B610 today from a local TBer, the Sonic T-15 PA cabinets (purchased on eBay for a song) came loaded with EVM 15 Prolines and (with the horns turned off) work very well as bass cabinets. The rack is loaded with an Ampeg SVP-BSP and a QSC PLX2402.

Presently configured so that the B610 and on 15 run clean and the other 15 (the top one) handles both clean and overdriven signals.

My wife didn't enjoy the Sonic rig being in the middle of the room, so I spent some time today moving everything around.

From left to right:

Vox AD100VTH half stack
Crate XT65R combo with an EVM 12L loaded TL806 cabinet
Rack rig: Ampeg SVP-BSP preamp, QSC PLX2402 power amp, Sonic 610 and two EVM 15 Proline loaded Sonic T-15s
LittleMark III powering the Sonic 2x10 on the bottom
Mesa Walkabout head powering AccuGroove Cabinets (Tri110 and Tri210L)
Bugera 1990 head with Avatar G212 Vintage (loaded with a Vintage 30 clone and a Celestion G12M-70)
Egnater Rebel 20 head with Avatar G212 Vintage (loaded with a Vintage 30 clone and a Celestion Classic Lead 80)
Bugera 1960 head with mid '90s Ampeg SVT-810.

Not shown: Crate PowerBlock amp, Yamaha G100-II head, Marshall 8412 (Valvestate) 4x12, Fender Hot Rod Deluxe combo and a Sonic G112 cabinet loaded with an Avatar Hellatone 60 (Celestion Vintage 30).

i hate to do this because it's so unfair for me to just waltz in and rule it but i don't think i've posted in this thread yet:

for my smallest gigs, or for outdoor gigs where i think it'll rain, i use these two items:

the b-15n stack is my usual rig for most of the stuff i do. but for gigs where i have to be louder than the b-15n stack (not many but occasionally it happens), or for gigs where i just want to hear the sound of hot buttered jesus, i bring these two wrinkly old items:

yes, the svt rig looks old and worn out (btw, it's empty in that pic but it has recently reconed cts's). and yes, i have generic fender style grillcloth on the cab (and head now, too...that's a pic before i got it repaired). and yes, there are plenty of folks on here who have way more stuff than me. but between the svt rig and the b-15n stack (not so much the vtd and powerblock), consider this thread owned.



i'm just kidding...actually i got super great deals on all this stuff and lucked into buying it at a time when ampeg wasn't considered the prettiest gal at the ball. if not for those deals, i'd be playing a used cl and 810e.

you know torin, that tolex on your cabs comes very close to ruling just as hard as blue checker.

yeah its pretty nice. The great thing about LDS is you can pick virtually any tolex you want and alot of the other variables, grill cloth, corners, handle etc. Custom is nice!

I'm currently building a rack for the amp and I'm going to buy the same tolex so my amp matches the cabs. Should be nice.

...And thanks for not giving me a hard time about buying yet another rig! I doubt very much I sell this amp. I love everything about it... well, I'd prefer if the power switch was on the front but that's minor.

I think I'm finally done!

hey, not my bag to change rigs like underwear, but far be it from me to goof on you for it. yes, i know i've done it in the past, but i'm trying to mature a little.



dude, the head can come or go, but don't ever sell those cabs. i don't even care what they sound like...with that tolex, you cannot go wrong.

Korg DTR-1 in rack tuner, Furman power, Ampeg SVT-IIP preamp, Ampeg pr1832he & svt810e cabinets. The Peavey Mark VI is my back up head, replacing a recently blown up Mesa Boogie 400+. All of my equipment has gone to hell and back, thrice. As you can see by the condition of the cabs. But they still work & sound amazing. I'm now thinking of going from the pre-amp directly into a Mackie 1400i and out to the cabs.
