yep pretty much, when i played a bongo for my first time i thought there were 2 volume controls and a bass knob that increases volume a bit....
and i still havnt figured out the active EQ on that :ninja:
all active basses i've played are like that

Music stores pretty much always do a 40-50% markup. havent you ever sold some gear to a tore for $100 only to come by next week and see it for $200? Maybe it was a used one?
I was getting ready to pull the rigger on one of the 5's on ebay but the website being down is a big red flag to me!? What is up? That just smells like poor business practices. The last guy I webmastered a site for that let his domain expire was a total alkie with mommy issues. I mean they send you renewal notices months before it is up. Are they gone and the ebay stuff is the last of it?

that and its a lot more noticable solely because of the frequencies you're basically increasing - the bass is where the whole instrument is centered, so its a lot more noticable in the EA strings than anything for me on either of basses...

I wouldn't expect too much resale value for an instrument from a company that sold them for less than a year, to minimal success, and then went under (if they are indeed going under).
