I still haven't gotten mine out of the case, but I remember it looking a lot like your middle one. I think it's fretted as well - I honestly forget!BAM!
I actually have 5 of them but the other 2 Jazz's aint in the pic.
Would love to see it! I'm one of the few still carrying the TBC torch.
I love how light they are, and they have nice thin neck profiles...except for my five string JJ (see below)...its heavier and has quite a thick/chunky neck.
Although the Carvin I had built in 2002. Lots of miles and needs fret and nut attention.

I remember really liking the feel of mine, the sounds being just ok, the pickups seemed thin somehow. Have to try it again.
Upon getting the bass I noticed the bridge pickup was low. I pulled it out and cut some dense foam and threw a thin layer underneath and that problem was fixed in minutes. Intonation was next and a breeze. Small neck tweak, string height adjust and almost there. Lastly was the pickup height adjustment. The B string is very nice on this bass. "I still have not changed the strings and they are dead"
The gig. My guitar player who is a tone freak stood with eyes wide open when I hit the first few notes.
He said how much did you pay for it???????
I laughed. Ok so it's not a Fodera or Sadowsky.
But for $300 it is one heck of a find. Here a list of things I did have concerns about.1. A string seemed weak? Pickup height adjust maybe. Or dead strings. Not sure.
2. Blend pot is way to sensitive. When you pan to the rear Pickup it is drastic with just little knob movement.
My main gigging bass it a Carvin XB75 Flame Koa top Walnut back. The TBC neck is much faster and easy to play. The Carvin is 35 1/4'' scale. I will do some more test when I change the strings.
Over all very happy with it and might be my main gigging bass now. Very light and good player and tone.

Thanks. I tried to be as honest as possible while not being subjective about the TBC bass. I see many love vs. hate for them here. What It comes down to is value vs. performance. I paid $300 including a brand new SKB flight case. It was on my local Craigslist for over 3months and he had no offers. Good for me no one knew what it was. It shows no signs of even being played. No fret wear, not scratches or dings. The guy wanted to learn how to play but never happened and it sat for years in the case.

This is a TBC that I have actually owned twice. I sold it to a friend years ago, when I needed a few bucks. It just found its way back into my hands yesterday. Nice bass. Killer neck. I tend to prefer more narrow spacing, but this is one of those "it is a better bass that its monitary value would suggest" basses. As such, I won't sell it.

Very nice! I have one just like it! Any pic of the headstock? Just wondering if its the older pointed headstock or the newer snub-nose?

They are pretty, aren't they? Mine's rather like that last one on the chair. I saw the back of the headstock today, so I know which corner it's hiding in.Here are mine:
I dragged mine out, dusted it off, replaced the nasty old battery, and refreshed myself - ok, it's active, and the preamp is hidden in their "black box" epoxy, so no trim pot. What it basically comes down to is that it's an active bass and they just set the default maximum volume too low with no way to change it. If I crank active treble, midrance, and bass up to about 80% or more, I get more of the signal I'm looking for. Nothing wrong with the pickups, the preamp is just set too quiet.
