Oh, yeah, I did do some mods: On all my basses I unscrew the strap buttons and add a 3/4" diameter fender washer with a 1/8" hole for the screw. Sometimes I buy a longer screw, if necessary. (Hillbilly Strap-Lok - $.25-50 at your local Ace Hardware.)
I'm in love with everything on my Spector Euro. It has an all-maple body with a nice bright green stain, active EMG's and a 2-band Aguilar preamp. Not to mention Spector's signature giant brass bridge. It also has a brass nut, which I like, and Schaller tuners. I wouldn't change a thing. It does have a scratchy pot though, but cleaning it wouldn't be considered a "mod" by any means.
I use the Grolsch straplocks. They come with free beer!![]()
