The Best Bands, Their Worst Moments

Everybody has a favorite band. Everybody knows that there is a time when that band hits a rough period. For me, it's Rush, hands down. I am a die-hard Rush fan. However, I have to admit that they, like all bands, had songs that sucked. For me:

I think that one speaks for itself, just in the title....:scowl:

Great music, and most of the lyrics are good, but the "hood boys" and the "gangster nation" parts just send shivers down my spine, and I sadly shake my head. Probably the most corny words that Niel Peart has ever written....



So share your favorite bands in their worst light. I think we can all be honest and laugh with eachother on these.

Oh, good call. I wish that Randy Jackson had played with them on a better album than that one....

Manowar have some of the worst lyrics outside of any grade school. But then, they have some really good songs.

"All I want to do is make love to you" by HEART may be the most terrible lyrics ever written.

I've always liked Maiden's lyrics, but I think they've run out of things to say.

Those pair of Blaze albums are amazing. The Aftermath, lord of the Flies, Fortunes of War, 2AM, Futureal, The Clansman, Como Estais Amigos and When Two Worlds Collide are superb songs!

Yeah, I'm probably biased and didn't give those two the love they deserved. But everything is relative...even though I referred to them as Maiden's 'low' points, they're still head and shoulders above many bands high points!

Slayer - Everything after Seasons.. & before Christ Illusion

Dinosaur Jr - The last couple albums where J was hanging onto the name with little but himself to write.

Those pair of Blaze albums are amazing. The Aftermath, lord of the Flies, Fortunes of War, 2AM, Futureal, The Clansman, Como Estais Amigos and When Two Worlds Collide are superb songs!

A lot of X factor was solid, and most of Virtual XI is poor. But the Clansman RULES.

And Sign of the Cross is an amazing song.

Black Sabbath - Born Again, Seventh Star, Tyr

Yes - Pretty much everything they did in the 80s, I just pretend it never happened.

Judas Priest - Point of Entry, Turbo, Ram it Down, & those albums they made with Tim Ripper Owens. I don't care for their new stuff either but I won't hate on it.

Megadeth - Risk, most of Cryptic writings, and Rust In Peace Live (Hearing Dave Mustaine with autotune made me cry)

That was a good album, but I don't find it nearly as good as his earlier work with Parliament. I mainly dislike most of his albums following Computer Games.

Agreed 100%. Good as it may be, "CG" can't hold a candle to a record like "Maggot Brain." Guess I'm in a hair-splittin' mood today.
