The Big Free Music Related Software Thread

Here is one that I've found mind-blowing for anyone in a cover band: totally free chord recognition or identification software. Chordino is a VAMP plugin that works with Sonic Visualizer, which is also a free-standing program audio analysis program.

It was so easy to get it working, even *I* could do it. Here is a video that provides a complete explanation of how to get it working:

I've tried it now on a few songs....and it usually figured out what chords they were playing more precisely than I could by ear. It is more accurate with less cluttered tracks, but I've been amazed at how well it spots chords like Bdim7...magic!

Thanks to the creators of these great and very useful programs.

Thanks for your introducing great software.

But...

I can't get it to work.

I've installed Sonic Visualizer to c:\Program Files\Sonic Visualizer

and

Chordino to c:\Program Files\Vamp Plugins

as the instruction says...

SV can't find any installed plugins.

I use Window 7 64bit.

Can you help me?

Does anyone know of any software with which I could edit two videos together? For example, if I were to record a keyboard/bass cover onto my computer, how could I put the two video parts together?
Thanks!

Combining two videos is pretty much a standard feature.

Windows Movie Maker does it: Add a video
Get started with making a movie and editing it by first adding any videos that you want to use into Movie Maker.
