Hey Markus. Many of them get passed around like the traveling pants. eBMM forum has several on its for sale thread right now. Certain colors you can buy direct from HQ, some dealers have them too, like TPB or Dubaldos.

Where you go guys get your pickguards? I have a Pearl Blue Bongo 4 HH with an Abalone guard coming, and I'm thinking about trying some others. I like that White Ice, and Black Ice...maybe others. Thanks!

Where you go guys get your pickguards? . . . Thanks!
I guess I don't understand what the point her would be, first off no the electronics in the sub are not the same as the stingray,
secondly idk why you would ever want to downgrade the bongo electronics
but if you like the stingray sound why don't you just sell the bongo and buy another stingray

You're getting a non-Lakland?![]()
Yeah, Markus has some non-laklands. He hasn't been completely assimilated into the collective.
Anyone thinking about getting one of the mahogany Bongos? Stainless frets, roasted neck, etc? I thought I heard they were only taking orders for them for a month, but I'm honestly not sure if that's true. i wasn't thinking about getting a Bongo but now I sort of am, not sure. I guess it wouldn't sound like a Bongo though, would it?
Thanks for the tip on the SUBs electronics.
I wouldn't consider the swap-out to be a downgrade. They're both equally extraordinary packages, but the voicing of the 'Ray is more 'me'.
I wouldn't trade the Bongo for another 'Ray: I'm hooked on the look and feel of the Bongo, and especially the six.
But the irrepressible urge to tinker with my toys is hard-wired into my code. I can't help it. As Asa Baber said in Playboy many years ago, "It is not truly mine until I have F***ed with it."
just have a check on musicman website, did they change the tuning machine from Bongo?
Order window is just about closed (end of April) so there's not much time left.

I used to have a Bongo 5HH, sold it, and now I have a Bongo 6HH that I've been groove'n every Sunday at my Gospel gig.
