Personally, I"m going to wait this run out. It costs about as much as the last PDN run which had so many upgrades on the neck...

-Birdseye
-Roasted
-Inlays
-Stainless frets
-Pau Ferro board

IF this color had that as well I was all in, I can't help but want to wait for another run like the PDN Honeyburst.

Don't forget the single H, which are rare but do exist. I have owned HH and HS and have a single H incoming.

Kinda like asking which Charlie's Angel you prefer. All different flavors of good.

Depends on your tone goals and type of music you play. But with the excellent EQ, you can coax a number of very useable tones out of any pickup configuration.

One more time (I've quoted this a lot of times already) I invoke Bovinehost (a.k.a. Lord Bongo)'s wisdom and authority. Here's what he has said in the past about the HH and SH configurations of this wonderful instrument:

I have owned all three. H HS HH.
Very different
I think I like the HH in the Bongo the best.
And favored the neck pup or a blend.
The HH bongo with that killer 18V pre WILL for sure level houses in a single bound.

I was stupid for ever letting go of the brand new old stock Dargie D II Bongo single H I had :crying::crying:

That was one rare bird for sure...another dumb move chalked up to bass G.A.S.

Not underrated by those "in the know", but maybe a better word would be "overlooked" by many, including the big gorilla in the room MI retailer that just now started stocking them again (in 2 colors).
