So I've pretty much sold every bass guitar I own (including my amp!) except the Bongo 6. I expect to keep it that way for a long time! Incredible instrument...a swiss army knife in terms of versatility.

Oh, of course it's a terrific picture. Love it! :) I asked because of the club rules:

Other specification is that it has to be a picture of YOUR bass, and not one of someone else's or a stock pic, or a pic someone else who owned your bass previously took.

I have a quick question for you guys. I love the tone of a stingray in detuned hardcore music. It looks like the Bongo H pickup is a bit further away from the bridge, like a classic stingray, than the Bongo HH bridge pickup. That being said if I were to buy a Bongo HH should I run both pickups on for a full sound or just use the bridge pickup for the stingray-like tone. Will the bridge pickup on the HH sound thinner than the pickup on the H model? the basses will be going through a sansamp and a Peavey vb-3 and a big cab. Thanks

A bongo doesn't sound like a stingray. If that's the sound you're looking for id recommend a stingray hs or hh.

I don't like the tone of the bridge pickup alone on the HH Bongo. But, what it usually done is use the blend knob to favor one or the other and it really does change the tone quite a bit with just a little bit.

Yeah I figured, after playing the bongo for a bit I realize its just a full sounding modern bass. To me it can easily do a stingray tone and sound a bit like a beefy jazz bass with both pickups. did anyone else have this experience? To me I think it's pretty great :bassist:
