Thanks all. Yeah, I love the single H sound. I'm struggling when I try to playing some of my high end basses, I keep going back to the bongo. Can't wrap my head around it.
something so ...is ergonomic the right word? about the Bongo...never had an easier bass to play. Really want to try a single H...if i was stateside i would be all over one of those 4H bongos on the classifieds right now

I'm starting to consider possibly trading my sky blue HS Bongo 4 w/ black pg, for a darker one... black, stealth, saphire black, graphite pearl or grey...
It's in mint condition. I love the color, but I'm realizing that I like the way the darker Bongos blend into my clothes. The lighter, more colorful Bongos stand out a lot more, and while there's nothing wrong with that, I believe I'm mellowing a bit with age. Anybody own a darker Bongo having opposite feelings????

Got my Bongo HH4 last spring. It has a rosewood neck, so I guess Id better not take it to another country. Neck feels smooth, not sticky like painted neck did. Love the tones available from this bass. Also have a Squire j-bass and a 74 p-bass. They all play well, the Bongo more intense than the others.
