Anyone here had luck ordering a replacement pickguard directly from Music Man before?

When I called to order a replacement they only did white and black. They said I'm better off ordering from Invalid Link Removed. IIRC it was $35 for guards EBMM was going to sell me.

I saw that pickguard planet has templates already for just about every MM bass: Music Man Basses (click for pricing in any color) - Pickguard Planet
But I'm not sure about their service or quality.
While we're on the pick guard subject - has anyone ever come across any images where someone changed the pick guard on their stealth bass? I'm trying to get an idea.
A more metal (and younger) version of myself got my bass in stealth but I'm getting a bit sick of the colour scheme.

Ive purchased several pickguards from Chandler Music (Pickguard Planet). One for a Bongo, one for a Big Al, and one for a Steve Morse guitar. They've all been great.
Does anyone here know if the new light-weight Bongo tuners can be direct replacements for the older Bongo tuners that were bigger clovers?
Or would the holes have to be redrilled?

No. The newer tuners do not have screws like the Music Man clover tuners.

My question is about the colors. I am not sure how MusicMan works on this. I do not like any of the colors that are currently offered as choices on their web site. How often do they change up the colors they offer? The thing is, in the past I have seen colors from them that have really blown me away. Some were older standard colors, some have been special colors, like the Starry Night (love it). I am willing to wait, but wanted to get a feel on how often they changed things up.

They change them up or offer special runs every year or so (Stealth pearl, Firemist colours, PDN's etc)
I will wait, then. Just not wild about the Firemist they have now. But they have had some awesome colors in the past, so hopefully they will in the not to distant future.

I am ready to pull the trigger on a 4HH as well.
If I have to choose current colors, I m going Stealth Black.
If they offer more selection ,
I would love more options as well.

The Firemist Colors are relatively new, hopefully I'm wrong but I wouldn't count on new colors until next summer.
Personally I am hoping they come out with a Ball Family Reserve in a special color in one of their monthly "specials" that they have going right now. I'd love to add to my 4HH Starry Night and 4HS Dargie II bongos, a 5 string has been calling to me.
They usually announce new colors at winter NAMM. So, I'd recommend waiting until then. Or, you could buy used and have it refinished in the color of your choice (like the Daphne blue one in my avatar). A used black Bongo could be refinished in a ton of different options that work with a black neck.
