The Bongo 5 feels slimmer than the StingRay 5 front to back, but I switch between them easily and barely notice a difference. The nut and fretboard dimensions are the same, save for the additional frets on the Bongo.

Nice Bongo! No need to swap bridges. I don’t change strings very often, and never in a hurry.
The other issue is using custom gauge strings. Sometimes I use ｔｈｉｃｃ strings and it's a pain to feed through the available hole.
Nice! Looks like my BFR Pink Champagne Stingray Special, all they needed was to go overboard on this with the gold hardware. Hopefully they don't get any ideas, my wallet can't take that type of strain.
Ha i also have that one with stealth hardware on a bongo. It's a sweet color but not pink enough for me.

I haven’t replaced my bridge, but I use a very heavy set. I use a .160 B. A little drilling solved my problems. I do find the angle that is required to pull the string in or out to be a cautionary challenge. I usually put a cloth up to the bridge to protect the finish when changing strings. I’ve even seen some use blue painters tape below the bridge during a change.
Changing the bridge isn’t in my future, but many would. Rock on!
Didn't know there was a part 3. I was asking in part 2 if anyone had swapped out the bridge. I'm considering a replacement with a "quick release" type of ball end holder because sometimes I use those ｔｈｉｃｃ strings. 166 or 164 and it's a pain to thread through the standard bridge hole.

There's a difference when I keep the talent inhibitor on my 4003, and then some adds one to a bass that never had it.
Apropos of nothing... Has anyone changed out the knobs on your bongos? I love the knobs on my Dod pedals or "Boss style knobs" and thought it would be cool on my bongos. Has anything had any luck with it?
