When they started working with Arif Mardin he brought in a lot of great players like Rainey and Jerry Jemmott.
The later Rascals albums had Pops Popwell on bass.

Cool... never realized that’s who was playing the lines but always knew they were gifted.

Love everyone of those players.

Pops Popwell with Crusaders and Jerry Jermott with BB King bring back some great memories.

one of a handful of the classic GOAT session players. i have a cd with chuck & donny hathaway playing an instrumental jam. they called it " pattycake, " but it's actually " valdez in the country. "

I’ve heard so many top players use Chuck’s licks. Nathan East and Dave Hungate in particular. He definitely made his mark, especially in the 70s.
