LP #2 had previously released material like this one (Rainey w/, IIRC, Ray Brown)-
When they started working with Arif Mardin he brought in a lot of great players like Rainey and Jerry Jemmott.I always wondered who was on the sessions for the Rascals- love the bass on many of their tracks![]()

The later Rascals albums had Pops Popwell on bass.
His tasty use of double stops were always one of the things I've always dug about his playing.Can anyone describe the top characteristics of Chuck Rainey basslines?
