So good! Welcome back to the noblest of all art-forms.
On a different subject for a few minutes, plus this tip may help save some of you a few pennies before purchasing a new set of strings...try this...it wont cost you too much.
Maybe some of you guys and gals may not know of this little simple method I use to clean up a used set of strings. I have been using this method for many many years, whereas before that I used to boil my string sets for an extra lease of life, but rust sometimes set in if the string wasnt dried carefully...although I always used a hair dryer lol.
Check out the system ive been using for at least 20 years, in this link. It works best for me and the strings come up brand new and better than boiling. Hope it helps someone.

Loll Pleasure SR my friend...clean hands before playing helps too but yeah flats do pick up less oil and grime from the hands. Ive used that Tube cleaner system for a long time and it really does spice up a used grimy dead set of roundwounds rather well.Thanks for the tip @Giffro! Highlights: . . . 2 best fiddles/singers, 1 best mandolin/singer, 1 best flat-picker, 1 best "entertainer"(singer/guitarist), 1 cajun accordion* (exotic sound), enthusiastic bassist (me). Learned more about flat-picker, including finger-picking friend in common and same worksite for 20 years! Great, tight music when I could see flat-picker's left hand for chord changes. Very good singing, tight harmonies. Semi-appreciative audience.
Lowlights: . . . . 1 so-so fiddle, 1 cajun accordion* (loud sound), new-to-bluegrass bassist (me). Players moving around single mic randomly, bad acoustics, couldn't hear the tune when I couldn't see flat-picker's left hand, so unfamiliar songs suffered (also difference of opinions on where "the beat" is). Semi-appreciative audience.

Love this one. It a keeper because it says so much without a lot being written.
We made it through today, and for those of you either crazy or bored to know how the show went just hang in there.
SPOILER ALERT: my peeps who sucked the air out of the room yesterday, came alive and made their teach very proud. Even the rock band worked out!

Steve, welcome to our little slice of home. You’re right, the number is just a number, but we’re a clingy bunch and enjoy knowing who’s above and below the club food chain. I’ll get you a number as soon as I blow the dust off ye membership book.
I’ve also noticed a few other new club posters on of late. So if any of you would like a highly-coveted membership number and secret ring (oh yeah, we have one of those too!), just let know. I’m looking to get to 200 members by the time we hit 2020. Let’s do it, club.
I was expecting a lovely secret ring like the top one but ended up with one like the bottom one loll

You promised you weren’t gonna spill the beans about the cigar band. I told ya G’Dog was low on soup cans that he uses to create rings and that we temporarily replaced them with the bands. Don’t even think about blabbing that we’re using generic popcorn at the Bijou instead of Jiffy Pop...

With the concert band I'm in, if the dress rehearsal goes well, the concert doesn't. And vice-versa.
I believe it's an adjunct to the "Law of Murphy"
