I used to have one of these and used it with a 2X15 bottom also to create my own personal "WALL OF BASS".

Top pic is just for reference, not my actual rig. Bottom pic is me and the "wall"...maybe that's why I'm smiling. Drummer behind that kit just passed a month or two ago. This was my first band and he spoiled me for lesser drummers.
I see the 1x12 cabinets online. A R200 or R500 with the 1x12 cabinet, that is my delimina.

I have never used a rig that requires multiple cabinets without having a chain out. I just bought the Elf amp and 1x10 cab and agreeably it did not have enough volume on stage even as a monitor. I am looking to get either another 1 x10 cab or the 2x8. My first question is how do you connect these to the amp to get the 4Ohm impedance and the full 200w. Is there going to be alot of difference between the 2- 2x10s and 1- 1x10 and 1 2x8 setup?

To run two of my PJB 8 ohm Cab 27s with my Elf, I run one cable to the first cab and another cable from the first to the second.* There are two speakon jacks on the back of the cab for this purpose. Never actually seen the Trace cabs for the Elf, and never actually seen one of the Elf combos.
* I don't actually have a second Cab 27 at this writing, and don't feel I need one right now except as marsh GAS.

Well, I've decided to go in an entirely new direction. As some of you know I have a Rumble 100 and have been looking to expand. Instead of getting a 2nd R100 and also a speaker upgrade, I'm looking to buy a Rumble Studio 40. It would be fun to have all of the Amp and effects plus I could play guitar through it.
For more volume I can always chain to the R100. As I don't/can't play out, at least not on a regular basis, I'm thinking it's perfect.
Also looking to buy a ZOOM R24 hoping I'll start recording a little. Anyway, sounds like good times to me. Thanks for indulging me.

I too have an Elf.
To connect mine to two of my Rumble extension cabs, I connect one 1/4” to Speakon cable to the Elf and then to the first R210 or R112 8 ohm extension cab, Then I use a second 1/4” to Speakon cable from the parallel jack on the first extension cab to connect the second R210 or R112 8 ohm extension cab.
This will give you a 4 ohm load so that you can have the full 200 watt output from your Elf.
I have played around with connecting mine to two R210s, two R112s, and also one R210 and one R112. So far I find all of the different combinations to have a good and workable tone.
I no longer have any other extension cabinets to try with my Elf.
As long as you have a 8 ohm extension cab that has two parallel jacks on the back of it to place as your first extension cab, and a second 8 ohm extension cab so that you can achieve a 4 ohm total load, it should work the same regardless of brand or cab speaker. Of course, this assumes that both extension cabs have the appropriate power handling capability.
Those little Elfs are very $ reasonable. Would love to hear one.
If they show up get me one too. LOL
I got mine brand new on a local store only sale at my GC for $199. I thought that was very reasonable for a head to throw in my “possibles” bag as a backup for my Rumble 500H.
It is very easy to achieve a nice, very full sounding tone with my Rumble cabs.
I have no personal experience with the Elf with any other combinations. I’m pretty sure it would work just as well with any other quality extension cabinets.

The stork brought my Elf after wishing upon a star, wait no that's not exactly how it happened. Mated the Elf first with a PJB C4, a 400 watt 4x5 front ported cab. <giggle> And the Elf tone, I'm given to understand, cops a well-regarded Trace Elliot tone. But not as mid-scooped as the TE of old, it's said. Wouldn't know.
To my ears, the Elf sounds "big" or "full", and it's definitely more on the rock 'n roll side of the pond IMO. The real trick of the Elf is all in the three stage Gain knob. A light on front of the Elf shows what's going on: at low gain the signal is clean. Compression kicks in at medium gain settings and distortion kicks in up where the gain is dimed.
Looking at the Elf combo offerings, I'd be all over the 1x10 Elf combo if I didn't have the Elf now.

I'm considering getting the SB112; I'm hoping 200 watts into a 4 Ohm 12 will do what it needs to: cover smallish drumless/acoustic gigs where the bass isn't in the PA and provide stage volume for drum/electric gigs where the whole band is in the PA. Anyone have any experience with this combo (or the somewhat similar GK MB112) they can share?
And just to offer my bona fides before I stumble into this exclusive club with my muddy boots still on, I'm a combo guy through-and-through: I play an Ibanez Promethean at home and pop it on top of a 115 for gigs.
But I'm hoping the Traynor can split the difference (110 too small, 115 too big, 112 just right?) with grab-and-go convenience.
