Ah yes, it's NAD! Seeing as how it's a combo, the club gets the first peek. GK MB212ii. This thing is effing LOUD! The cat hasn't come out of the basement since I got home. Mint condition with cover. I'm almost ashamed to say what I paid for it. $400. Full report probably tomorrow night. Here's the first glimpse:

Gig Report
Date and Time: November 23, 2019 at 10am to 1pm local time
Location: local VFW Dance Hall
Ocassion: Family Reunion of Beloved Local Singer/Guitarist
Remuneration: Barbeque Brisket and Turkey Lunch, good lunch hang
Gear: Fender VM Starcaster bass with Fender Rumble Studio 40 amp
Small PA with 2 Shure SM58 mics and one omnidirectional mic
Other Instruments: (all acoustic) 2 to 3 rhythm guitars, 1 to 3 fiddles, 1 to 2 mandolins, 1 ocassional accordion
Musical Genres: Bluegrass, Country, Gospel (Jazz & Boogie Woogie after)
Aesthetics: Quite fun, great musicians, elite subset of monthly jam group, very appreciative audience, terrific food, rowdy running little kids but none got hurt(!), few audience members sang into the mics with good intentions, if not great voices, a 5-string bassist from the audience played my BEAD bass quite well* for a few songs!, PA almost always seemed on the verge of feedback but not actually ringing. (After everyone was through eating and announcements and stories were all finished and most musicians gone I got to play & sing some Jazz & Boogie Woogie with the best of the best one-on-one! Whew!!)
*Pic I took between songs with guest bassist. Beloved local singer/guitarist and Patriarch of the clan shown behind omni mic. This is all musicians except me:
Two things: first, a tip of the hat to what looked like a musician's dream date...a salute to a longtime player and the warmth and hospitality of good friends. Who could ask for more? ... ...
... ... Second, I loved the way you wrote this out. Very well organized and told us everything we needed to know without wasting space. I'd give it a +3/3. Nice work! (can you tell I just finished four hours of correcting writing assessments?) ... ...
... ... Only one objection: your quote "This is all musicians except me." 'Dog, your buddies here at the Combo Club recognize you as a musician even if everyone else doesn't. Please don't knock yourself, okay? You'll get the hang of that gee-tar before ya know it and then your local peers will see you as a musician too. Believe us!![]()
Yes, it was like a dream, in all respects!
.
You're too kind. No, I mean it. Apparently, I didn't write everything the way I intended*.
.
*I was being literal, not humble. That's not me playing my bass! (Though I wish I had his hair!! Hmmm, maybe I'll use him as my avatar?) That's the audience member who usually plays his 5-string. I took the picture! I'm behind the camera(phone). So, what I guess I meant was, this is almost all of the musicians, with the exception of one, myself (who I also consider to be a musician, but with too much self esteem, or ego, to join the mediocre bassists club).

MF says they're out of stock. GC says they'll have them after 12/31.I spoke to a tech at whatever online outfit I bought it from and he said it would work fine, which it did the 2-3 times I used it. Now it sits in a duffel-type bag along with the 2 Superlux guitar amp mics I bought and don't use/need any more. I got this stuff for a particular situation at a place we played regularly. Then the situation changed. 'Course if I sell them[at a loss]then within a month I'd need them again. Aaaaarrrrgh!
It was a Gear One MK1000 kick drum mic from Musicians Friend.
Oh yes, those combos are rockin'. My little Roland Cube 100 has been doing gigs for 8 years, louder than it looks, people are always surprised when I walk into a gig with this rig, they're even more surprised when I'm walking out.

Hi, sure, why not, if it’s no trouble. Thanks for offeringHey there Samatza. Let me know if you'd like me to offer you a membership number for posting your nice-looking rig. Everyone says those Rolands play a lot louder than they're rated for and there must be some truth to it. Let me know and I'll score you a number. Thanks for posting!
Who has played with the Blackstar Fly 3 bass amp?
It sounds good on YT, but want to hear from actual bass players!
