Ah yes, it's NAD! Seeing as how it's a combo, the club gets the first peek. GK MB212ii. This thing is effing LOUD! The cat hasn't come out of the basement since I got home. Mint condition with cover. I'm almost ashamed to say what I paid for it. $400. Full report probably tomorrow night. Here's the first glimpse:

Congratulations, Biggie! I'm glad I can hardly read the fine print anymore because if I thought that said four bills I'd be calling the cops on account of a robbery by you! Either that or the owner has to get out of the country real quick, like now, and needed the cash. No matter, you, my bassist brother, scored the gem of the day. If you add in the price hike GK dropped on the world a while ago plus the fact that this particular brand usually does pretty well on the resale market, I'd say you not only bought a mighty fine amp, you actually made some money to boot!

Two things: first, a tip of the hat to what looked like a musician's dream date...a salute to a longtime player and the warmth and hospitality of good friends. Who could ask for more?

Pretty much all weekend spent with the BA108v2 Plus. And think of mediocre bassists as non-wankers. More Tommy Shannon than Jaco. Serve the song. Sure looks like a lot of musicians around here. Hide the swag!

I got ya. I was just playing the sarcasm card and obviously missed the mark. One day someone needs to take a pic of the gracious guy who loaned out his instrument today.
MF says they're out of stock. GC says they'll have them after 12/31.
Oh yes, those combos are rockin'. My little Roland Cube 100 has been doing gigs for 8 years, louder than it looks, people are always surprised when I walk into a gig with this rig, they're even more surprised when I'm walking out.
Hey there Samatza. Let me know if you'd like me to offer you a membership number for posting your nice-looking rig. Everyone says those Rolands play a lot louder than they're rated for and there must be some truth to it. Let me know and I'll score you a number. Thanks for posting!
Better late than later is what I always say to myself when I'm late. Ladies and gents, allow me to present to you our newest member with the distinction of 1) being the second person in the past few days to grab a GK MB212 II combo (Biggie being the other), and 2) possessing membership #168! Congrats, Mr40mm, on both counts.
I know there's another bass player or two who I've offered membership numbers to in the past week or so. With the holidays coming on you don't want to be at the end of the line when we run out, so let me know and with my soon-to-begin vacay (starting Wed) I'll have the time to get everyone up-to-date. My other big task at hand is to plug into the Superbeetle rig and see what she's made of. I hope the week crawls...

I have one with the 103 powered extension cab which takes it up to 6 watts.
It’s great for what it is i.e. an amp for bedroom practice.
Sound is quite full and it has an aux input for playing along with songs.
Also good for playing music from phone or mp3 player (no Bluetooth though).
Can also run on batteries.
Here's a shot of my current "combo family". Missing is the little Eden kickback my son is using for his keys and my precision I loaned him. The GK is the new "gig rig" so the big Eden is up on CL. I love the Eden but I'm not getting any younger and it is a bit hefty. The GK at 500 watts and 2X12's weighs about the same as the old Carvin.
So I ended up grabbing an Ampeg ba108. Perfect for bedroom practice.
