Oh gawd, tell them that it's not always better on this side of the pond. Different, but not better. And personally, I really think that different is good. I don't want to travel to Australia some day and find out that it's just like America. That would be horrible.

Life in any other (democratic) country than America is not necessarily better, it is different. Better is what you make your life in that country of choice IMHO

Thanks for the encouragement and the offer. I'll need to work some OT to get amp money, but once I do, I'll check out the different deals, test the amps, and post my reviews. I don't expect you to hold onto that amp, but if you've still got it and I end up leaning that direction, I'll certainly let you know.

I'm in no hurry to let her fly and am currently using it to play through. If it wasn't for the Super Beetle I'd probably not think of unloading it. I might try C'list, but lett me know if and when you're ready to purchase.

Yuk..those plant-based McDonald burgers...we have them here but find I can't try one...doesn't seem natural to me but hey..each to their own, especially if you're a vegan..they should be a big seller in India one would assume.

Some years ago a friend and I were traversing Nebraska. Her diet was extremely restricted at the time, owing to her health. We agreed we had to stop for something to eat, and a break. Likely for her she'd have to go hungry, and I'd have to eat some <yuk> fast food. When what should appear but a sign for an Indian restaurant. Out in the middle of Nebraska! Well if any of you are ever passing through Deming, NM, there is a GREAT Italian restaurant named Fugeddaboudit (spelled something like that). Outstanding in the middle of nowhere, and there were able to accommodate our Vegan desires with the best marinara ever, we even bought a quart to go! They have awards from Buffalo In the Wings competition for you more traditional eaters.

Had a great practice today. Our drummer is 6'7" and we have two guitarists, so I was pushing this rig as much as I could. Only two 50 watt amps but lots of drivers. It worked well with some break up in the tone.

Seriously, did the amps actually hold up during the rehearsal? We're you not only there in sound, but sculpted out some sonic territory for yourself and were heard? I'm assuming low-level because, without more power, the H & K alone would've taken ya to the woodshed. The Fender Excelsior, maybe not, but I bet you were copping some tubey tone if you were running with the gain opened up. Details, man!

Yeah, it was difficult to keep up. The guys say that they can always hear me. Ken, our drummer, said one practice that I always like to be 1% louder than the guitarists. My immediate thought was "only 1%?" So I guess I am loud enough, but I don't always believe them. I think they can hear me, but not with any real definition and clarity. The singer/guitar player, for example, never follows me but always the other guitar player even when he should follow me (when we play Penny Lane, for example).

The way I have it set up is that cranked VX50BA is basically acting as a tweeter. It only has the treble cranked and the rest of the EQ is off. Both the gain and the volume are almost at noon. I then line out from the VX50BA to the Pathfinder/MV50CL, and this amp combo drives the Traynor cab. The volume there is around 10 o'clock. This side provides the deeper tones.

All combined it is loud and breaks up a bit. The guys say they love my tone, but it is a lot of moving parts. I would like to simplify it a bit, but I just switched over to this set up this Fall and I'm getting the best tone ever. Plus I live in a remote area, so I can't really test gear unless I want to go on a road trip. I'll still with it for awhile and see if it holds up. Probably it won't. I'm susceptible to GAS!

I misread that your drummer was 67...oh my age or thereabouts I thought..before I read it again and woooo..the guy's 6 foot 7 inches...now that's a tall drummer...probably suitable for the local basketball team too.
PS. Wish I had blue hair...actually I wish I had some hair.

Alas, it's sad when a family member gets sold down the river... but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Sold the Eden Nemesis RS410 combo Saturday. It went to a good guy so I know it will be appreciated.

Couldn't see keeping the Eden when I have that nice, new (to me) GK rig.

My son is still using the little Eden for his keys (and my precision...lol).

Of course, I'll NEVER sell the Carvin...

Junior is taking an interest in the guitar these days too and really doesn't like my nylon-stringed classical acoustic. I'll probably use the funds from the Eden sale to get a decent acoustic guitar for the kidder to play with.
