I was gonna go through zZounds to put it on payments and as I went into purchase mode PEavey went into hibernation and just about everything was back-ordered, including the TE Transit B! That's what led me to the 'Peg pedal. The TE impressed me with its features so if you're feeling a little gassy I completely understand.

Today I got the Trace Elliott 1x15 speaker that my friend picked up for me and kept until I'd moved home. As soon as I lifted it, I was thankful that I bought my Mark 121 stack. The TE is twice the weight of each 121 at 70lbs and is 250w/4 ohms against the Mark speaker's 400w/8 ohms.

I know some of us are gigging, in some strange other-world where we have a truly good excuse to stand as far from the drummer as possible. The VT Bass really sweetens things up for the computer's maw. I've settled on a make-believe "B-15" (in that county, anyway) setting on the VT bass. The PJB preamp adds some sparkle, or the Elf preamp adds some oomph.

Hardly making groundbreaking video here. It's technical stuff presented for our Music Theory for the Bass Player cohort. We're now five weeks in, and on the third unit
(for our folks playing along at home, this is my second — and a bit more — time in the MTftBP cohort, except this time as a participant and as a coach)
doing something "simple" well takes a lot of work

Back at the terminal gate, a functional "studio" (with an SM58s) microphone is all in place for ... Zoom

I need to try a VT. I have three clean options (excluding the GT1000). The MXR M80Di Plus, Darkglass B7k, and the Darkglass Harmonic Booster. I actually like the M80 the most for a great clean bouncy, thick clean tone that's very musical. The B7k clean is wonderful when you use the distortion channel barely blended in for the light tube grit. And the Harmonic Booster I wonderful but I'm finding I have to use compression before it to achieve a good thick round tone. I watched the Bass channels videos on all the different pre amps and the VT was one of the better ones for sure.

The PJB BG-400 combo has tuner out that I don't use. Not actually certain why I want a tuner out unless it's to save room on a pedalboard. To put a tuner pedal somewhere else is still a tuner pedal. These headstock tuners are pretty dope.

And Vox stuff is pretty dope too. I've a Vox curly cable that sees daily use, and a Vox tuner pedal on the board. It's got the blue strobe thing going on and I don't find that unkind to my eyes. I could probably tune on stage without glasses.

... ... if VOX announced something new and gig-worthy with NuTube, I'd be all over that too. I have re-fallen into lust over my SuperBeetle "non-combo" rig this week (see avatar). For practice room-volume, it's perfect and punches far beyond its weight class. ... ...

So, give us the dish on 'em! Didja hook up both cabs to the guitar head? Or at least another 8 ohm cab, since the bass cab is 4 ohms. Can you tell a significant tonal difference between the two cabs? Didja play bass thru the guitar head & two cabs? How well does the guitar head & cab handle bass?

I've been fantasizing about using the guitar head & 2 guitar cabs (since they have bigger drivers) for a Super-duper bass rig, if the open-back drivers could take it. Maybe close the open backs with tuned ports? What is wrong with Vox thinking guitars need all that SPL, but not bass? Come on!

Uhh...G-Dog, I don’t have the guitar rig. Never have, most likely never will. I think you’re mixing your fantasies all up. You’re the one thinking of using the guitar rig; I’m content with just this one. Now I have used the head with my Rumbler 115 before. Meh.

I’m thinking that crack on the skull in Jed Clampett’s Cement pond really did a number in ya. Take a break from your busy world and relax, okay?

I just picked up a genzler Magellan 800 and I'm very glad to have the tuner out. My polytune 3 was sending such a strong signal into my chain I was having noise issues with my monitors. Moving it let's me have an easy to see always on tuner and did indeed free up a spot on my board.
