Yeah, it does look much like the Trace Elliot Elf rig and that’s cool. Jakob, your assessment avoids the early infatuation trap many of us, like me, fall into with any new piece of equipment, and that makes it a worthy read. Like you said, it fits a need you have. ‘Nuff said. Congrats!

There’s one just like it on the other side as well.
I was well aware that the two 8" drivers would not deliver the same punch and volume as the two 10" drivers in the Rumble, and TC products tend towards a more modern tone as well. Still, it sounds very good for what it is, it’s a solid and well-executed design. No complaints, really.

At a glance that could be mistaken for a PJB Briefcase
Great design for small stages. And speaking of which, there are a lot of small stages that are small pre-CV. (I've headstock dings from cymbal collisions to prove it.) Minimum band member social distancing means ... well for one thing it means playing as far away from the drummer as possible is now considered utterly normal

Agreed, though the size of the drivers is different. But you’re right -it’s great for small stages, as you can stack two cabs vertically, and get what in practice is a 408 with a tiny footprint.All this time and he never made admiral.

For barely used, that is an outstanding price. Kind of like with the Rumbles, with as many of these combos going out the door, the resale price doesn’t seem to hold up when reselling them.
Electronics as a whole, unless it’s something high end and/or vintage, has little resale value, but then again, the prices for today’s gear is shockingly reasonable.
Anyone looking for a great combo at a bargain price (and you live in CO), grab this one.

Oh, GP, that is a beauty (and a lefty too). I’d want the rest of the neck though. Maybe this is a return or something...
Yeah, I’m in my short-scale bass mood right now. More comfy to play, easier to move around the neck, sounds great with the current amp choice.
The stinker is I want the hollow-body bass minus the sound block in the Contemporary models, but your lefty choices are either the budget Ignition bass or the over two-thousand dollar 500/1 basses. So while I’d love the model Plaidster posted, I’d probably have to get a full-time job post-retirement to pay for it!
So at the moment I’m looking at an Ignition PRO bass with a couple of upgrades like those lovely teacup knobs. Reverb brought it to my attention and I’m intrigued. I’ve even consulted with my Hofner physician, Doc Intrepid, for advice. He thinks GP should but me the Ed Sullivan-replica Hofner violin bass for a measly $2,495. Love that prognosis!

I had the ignition version of the "Ed" bass for several years. No complaints...great bass and a LOT cheaper than the German one.
