the conklin GT-7 thread!!!

1: The OBP-3 switch is a mid-freq selector switch, not really a slap-contour switch. It chooses between 400 and 800 Hz, and then the pot allows some +/- 16 dB boost or cut.

On the stand, I have the 2-bass version of that stand. I have found that the bottom suport arms are soft enough that (with some muscle) I could bend the one near the jack down, and the other one up, so that the bass rests perfectly vertically with the legs completely spread. The only trick is not to bend the jack-side arm down too far, or a straight cord plug will hit the floor and bend the cable. (Guess how I figured THAT out... :(  )

i wouldn't need to drill a hole...or get a push/pull switch on top of(not literally) the concentric pot with the bart, would i?

edit: i just looked at the website...which one og those would go in the gt-7? there are like 5 3-band barts for $135.

The push-pull on the Bart 4.6 is for the midrange. The concentric pot is bass/treble. The whole thing does indeed fit in 4 holes -- that's why I'm hot on it. The Aguilar OBP-3 can be wired with a midrange SWEEP knob to go between 400 and 800 Hz, but that takes another hole.

Whichever one you like! The differences are with the volume knobs -- some are vol/vol rather than vol/blend, some have a push-pull passive switch (for when your battery dies), some have 3 knobs, some have 4, some have 5.
