Great to hear man!

Its suprisingly versatile, you could walk off a metal headbanging stage, and straight onto a jazz quartets, without undoing your strap!:D

Just make sure your mandatory metal-grade black strap with skulls only features elegant, artsy skulls! Otherwise your jazzier audience might find it in poor taste.

Heh, after recording, I planned on putting the rounds back on, but I'm having too much fun in flatland!

Welcome back! It is a place of many dimensions! Surprisingly profound and all.

Heh, I dig looking out of place, I often drag a pointy Traben with chrome flames to a blues jam, or my goth Cort, shock and horror, then I don't SOUND out of place, which freaks everyone out even more.

at the moment it's tuned to C-G-C-F-A# and that's how it's likely to stay, i'll attempt to give a sort of review in abit.

Hey Cort people - Ive tried to email the Cort artist relations guy with no luck getting a reply. My question to him was whether Cort would consider doing a 19mm spaced Artisan 5 string or whether they would even do a 1 off custom job with that spec.
Any thoughts anyone - does anyone here endorse Cort and have a contact within the company?

Well, I on have an Action V at the moment, and even though it's at the lower end of the product price range it's a brilliant instrument. Well balanced, great neck, great components and looks quite nice. (I have owned a Curbow before but found the lower body part uncomfortable for sit down playing). Here's some pics of an Audere 4 band EQ install I did on the bass. What a difference it's made. It just about fits, but the tone is now really hi-fi and crisp and clean. A worth while upgrade for sure:

Hi there!

I'm into buying a 6 stringer and not so long ago I had the opportunity to play a Cort fiver (which I believe was an Artisan) and I really liked the neck and the action and the whole playability of the thing. Not even mentioning the tone yet.
You 6 string users how do you see, does the 6 string version of it have the same features? (slimmest possible neck, very low action).
I have not really considered Corts so far but it really is between the possible choices now.
Thanks in advance :)

Forget about the numbers :-) The real issue here is getting information on very nice instruments! :)

After going through a consolidation of my bass collection, I no longer have a Cort bass. Maybe one day will see me with another one.... Good luck, chaps :)

I have a Cort Action V that was my first bass. The truss rod has stripped threads (taught me well not to trade with that guy) but luckily the truss rod is in a position where although the action is high the intonation is not affected. I assume numbers will be handed out at some point?

Hey folks,

I posted a question on the main forum, but didn't get any answer. So I'm trying here since this where Cort people hang out, I assume.

So, I want to get an Artisan B5, that I want to mod by adding piezo to the bridge. I will probably get something like a Graphtec Ghost system, but I need to be sure that the bridge on the B5 can be replaced by a Hipshot A Style bridge. Any clue?

Also, can someone tell me what's the string spacing at the bridge, so I can order the correct bidge size?

Thanks in advance for you expert answers! :)

With the Grapthec Ghost, can't you just buy the saddles?

Hey all,

Another Cort user into the mix. I've got a Left-Handed C4 Artisan bass.

Got a question though,

I've had this bass for around three years and still have not managed to work out the controls except for the volume and push/pull knob.

Can anyone post a labelled diagram of what each control does?

Cheers

Yes you can, but not with any kind of bridge. from the pictures I've seen it looks like the B5's bridge is slightly different from the Hipshot one, though there are many similarities. In the end, I don't think Graphtec's saddles will fit inside the Cort B5 bridge. But I don't have a B5 to check it out, so I rely on you guys. Maybe a good close-up pic of a Cort B5/A5 bridge will help me out!
