Yes you can, but not with any kind of bridge. from the pictures I've seen it looks like the B5's bridge is slightly different from the Hipshot one, though there are many similarities. In the end, I don't think Graphtec's saddles will fit inside the Cort B5 bridge. But I don't have a B5 to check it out, so I rely on you guys. Maybe a good close-up pic of a Cort B5/A5 bridge will help me out!

Ah, well, the bridge is a Licenced By Hipshot design, so a Hipshot A should fit in its place just fine, sadly I don't know what the string spacing is.

I ended up with a new Cort retro 4 jazz bass and for a $300 bass this thing is really pretty sweet, put some thomastik flats on it, it has a decent bridge, it's a good mid level instrument for a low level price - I'd def like to try some of their higher end models after trying this one - I actually have too many 4 stringers - would love to trade for a comparable 5 string bass, if anyone is interested pm me

Glad to be of assistance. They are incredible basses and not just for the money. At the risk of being flamed here I have played Warwicks the last year or so (Streamer 5 strings), and thinking about going back to playing 4 strings. My custom Warwick 5 is on the block and I'm more than likely going to pick up a few A4's as replacements. I think I like them better!

Hey CBgaragebassist nice Bass, I really like white ones :)

AND

I wanted to ask all of you guys a question: Where are you from. ^^
I really wanna know to which country I am talking to :P

hey all, I just got a B4 from a fellow TB'er and I am loving it. I've had a bunch of high end and custom basses in the past few years and this bass plays as nice as the best of them. It has the ash body, 5 piece wenge neck with maple stringers, bolt on. Bart MK1s and the pre . At fist I thought I might upgrade the pups and pre but the more I play it the more I like it. It has the active/passive switch, which is cool. I got the neck very flat and the strings pretty dang low and no buzz any where. Probably the best $250 I've ever spent.

I went on a Cort Curbow spree recently. I absolutely love the neck dimensions.

I've got to ask people who've had Cort Cubows for a while or bought them used, is there something that gives out on the Luthite body over time where it possibly bows up a little. I've had to shim the neck on both of these basses. The saddles were bottomed out on both when I got them. The fretless was nothing outrageous, but the fretted had height and tilt WAY off - like 6 mm action at the 24th with very little relief. It seems to have a spectacularly straight and level neck. With shimming, it's about as close to perfect as I can imagine, but it took a lot. I can't see a reason to take it to anyone to have it set up. The tilt is good, it's almost flat, about a dime (1.35 mm) at the 12th and about a quarter (1.75 mm) at the 24th.

But there is no way it could have been adjusted, other that shimming, and that seems a bit odd. I mean it couldn't have always been that way. There doesn't seem to be any other answer than the bridge is somehow higher than it was originally -- so, my theory that maybe the bodies give a little in some way over time.
