Hey guys, just got a cort Funk Machine signature so thought I'd say hi. Love the bass, still learning so a way to go but think this will last me for ever.

Just one thing, any recommendations on setting up the funk wah settings?

Cheers,

Phil

hey all, I just got a B4 from a fellow TB'er and I am loving it. I've had a bunch of high end and custom basses in the past few years and this bass plays as nice as the best of them. It has the ash body, 5 piece wenge neck with maple stringers, bolt on. Bart MK1s and the pre . At fist I thought I might upgrade the pups and pre but the more I play it the more I like it. It has the active/passive switch, which is cool. I got the neck very flat and the strings pretty dang low and no buzz any where. Probably the best $250 I've ever spent.

I have been taking a close look at the B4 lately. It has a really impressive construction and set of features. It offers a lot of bang for the buck. The neck on that thing is beautiful. Very nice indeed!

I have a Curbow, but the neck is warped and someone jacked up the truss rod! I have managed to play it with a wedge under the neck, and it sounded SWEET!!!. I know these play great. I just wished I could get another neck for it.

anyone got a spare 5 string curbow neck ?
BTW... it's a (fake) wood look

I don't have a 5string neck, but I did just buy another Cort. A b5 from a TB'er. Looks awsome and if it's as nice as my B4 I will be very happy.

I am loving Cort. :bassist:

Hope someone can help me out here.

Does anyone know what brand of preamp comes stock in the Artisan "C" series basses (and maybe how much they go for too)? The one with the Mid cut/boost switch. I've got one up for sale in the TB classifieds but don't know what I should be asking for it. I tried Cort repair and tech support, and the guy is out today.

BTW, I upgraded to a 3 band w/ 3 way mid toggle 18v Bartolini, kept the Mighty Mite pups in though, and just love it :bassist: . . . opened up the sound a bunch with a lot more tonal capabilities, with huge headroom.

Thanks!

So can I join?
Just picked up this Cort bass a couple weeks ago. Traded it for a solid state guitar amp I wasn't using and the guy gave me a BadAss II bridge. Got it home and changed the pickups, pickguard, de-fretted it and painted the headstock (I was going to put something else on there). I don't actually like the BA II bridge on it but it plays and sounds great! I've played/owned a lot of jazz basses but was never able to get used to them, I love this one and it's not even a solid wood body. Does anyone have any information on these Cort Jazz basses? I've seen the Cort p-basses but there isn't much information available.

First post here :P Cort basses are really amazin', that's mine

It seems like a heavy/metal style bass but the tone posibilities are outstanding, I love it!!!! (srry for my engrish :P)

so I got my B5...........Love it ! Lowest action I've ever been able to get on a bass. Plays .........like butter. yes. butter. softened butter.

I changed to MK1 pre out for the NTMB Bartolini pre. Big improvement. First thing, it's dead silent. no hiss anywhere. nice. and it's quite transparent. I have the push-pull/active-passive stacked volume pot. and you can't tell a differnece with the EQ flat in active or passive.

Cort and I are becoming good friends.
