love the gb94!
how does it play, and how does it sound (mm, lackland, whatever)
thinking of getting one for my bday!

this GB94 has a different sound compared to those bass. anyway, price wouldn' lie. i got this bass for just about $380.
but, actually GB94 surprised me. its sound just differ from other bass. the sound is so punchy, especially the mid frequency.
this bass will make you get all the attention because its sound.

I'm going to be joining soon, got a nice restoration project coming my way on the big brown van, a Cort P pretty much the same as the one posted by CBgaragebassist on page 35, white with matching headstock, niiiice looking maple neck.

But as i said its a restoration, missing the pickguard and electronics and needs some clean-up. The electronics are no problem, the pickguard is the only thing I need to order. Anyone know a better place to find a replacement for a vintage cort pickguard than pickguard heaven? [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

So my Cort is almost finished its restoration, cleaned up a lot easier than I expected, had a bad case of the dreaded CASE FUNK from sitting in the case for god knows how many years, and had no electronics or pickguard. REALLY nice neck on it, and it actually needed LESS tension on the truss rod (which still had some travel left as well) when strung up with roto flats. Its all wired and ready to go....but sadly its a 2-3 week wait on the custom cut pickguard exactly replace the missing original. PICS!

Does anyone know what this model is designated, since all it says on the headstock is Cort Electric Bass?

Im just a sucker for a matching headstock P with a niiiiiice maple neck, I have seen far too few maple/matching headstock basses.

It belongs to the Cort Performer Series. I happen to find her sister on the web :

Not to be confused with GB-PB series, like the following (headstock, body and pickguard are different) :

TY, although I kinda wish it had the same pickguard as the PB so I could get the pickguard anywhere, versus having to have one made for me to fit the odd jack location

WELL A club I can call my own. When I first started bass I went for the casual standards of Fender and Ibanez and I was drawn to the CORT! they play so well it's unbelievable people slate them for no reason but I think they're amazing.

(p.s - does this mean I get a number? :) )

Well I finally finished the restoration (finally getting the pickguard after a month) and she looks like a killer. THE best P-bass I've played, and I've played a few american made ones at music stores. This post would be pointless if it weren't for PICS:

Still dig this weird figuring on the fretboard

and how the paint has ambered to contrast with the reproduction pickguard

I really miss the Josh Paul Sig. I wanted a natural one in the worst way.

Got one of those recently (well an ... RB5). Totally digging it! I'll be turning into a RB5 Fretless pretty soon (as soon as I'm ready to put it down :smug:). I think the stock MK1 set-up will complement a fretless rather nicely (might go with an Audere 3ZB if a used one pops up).

No pics yet ... will post some when she's fretless. :)

[edit] BTW ... Bard2dbone, I always thought that was your pic as the avatar ... now you drop this bombshell that it's not!!! ;) :D [/edit]

Hey gang, long time lurker here. I will become the proud owner of a NTM gb94 tomorrow and I am just about dying with anticipation. I jumped on the deal based on looks and features, with really no other knowledge about them. I just couldn't help myself. So, any gb94 owners have some good info to make my wait even more unbearable?
