I got mine today, but no pics yet. I played it for about 5 minutes on my lunch break and so far I am pretty stoked. I searched around in this thread, but its huge so I'll just ask the question. What do the knobs on the GB94 do? I figure its master volume, blend, tone and the stacked is a bass/treble boost/cut thing although its a little loose on mine so I can't tell if there is a detent or if the little set screw is just sticking on something. The switch I gather is a bypass, up bypassed and down pre engaged. Am I in the ballpark?

Volume, Blend, 3band(I assmue the stack is bass/treble), and a mid booster switch(or a scoop, on the 74 its a booster, since its a Duncan Desigend pre, the 94 could be a scoop, though).

I think it is a scoop if it's not a bypass. When its up it thins out the sound considerably. I guess it can be a boost if down is on and a scoop if down is up. So the stack pot is bass treb and the 3rd knob is mids? This seems unusual if there is a mids switch. MAybe I am just a dumbass. This is a possiblilty that I have to admit is generally a safe bet.

Edit: this is what the website says. A little confusing to me, but see dumbass quote above. Seems to clear up the switch thing. Balance=Blend? What is 3 tone? there was no diagram that I could see matching numbers to knobs, and if that was the idea, why did they use 1 twice?

Weird, I'd assume the "3 tone" is just a bad translation of "3 band"

thats kind of what I was thinking. When you select the specs page its almost exactly what you said before (excpet they were more certain about the mid scoop thing ;) )
Either way, I have had a chance to play it more and its ver' nice. Once I put my kid to bed and he is no longer in there yanking on cords and fiddling with knobs I may get to really dial her in. I find this to be one of the most versatile pre/pup combos I have come across in an "overseas" bass, vetter than my 55-01, kz6 or GT-7 in terms of variety of tones. Me likey.

I would have dug this as a P/MM bucker too, but I likes me jazz pups. Oh, and here are a couple quick shots I took. Can't get any good ones right now, gotta go eat din din

Off topic, that Grand Funk album is IMO the 2nd best piece of vinyl I own. (Pink Floyds Animals beats it =D) Both $3 at a flea market. XD

One of my favorites too. GOt it along with 10 others for 2.50 at a flea market in S.C. Not pictured (among hundreds of others) original pressings of, DSOTM, Animals, WYWH, Meddle, and The Wall. You cant listen to the classics on any other format and get the experience that comes with them.

Back OT, the Cort can fake a pretty decent funk playing along to Closer to Home.
