The definitive "Yes, another gig bag" thread

Bumping this one back up. Afterall, it is the the definitive "Yes, another gig bag" thread. :D
Anybody buy a Fusion Urban? That is still the back that intrigues me... yet not much conversation about them. Would really like some feedback from people

What bags fit 35" scale basses well? From what I can tell, the Reunion Blues bags will work no problem. Not sure about the Mono bags.

And is it true that the Mono Vertigo is not a good match for 5 or 6 string basses due to the wider necks?
Fusion urban posts 151-153 here

I use a MV for my Lakland 55-94 with no issues whatsoever.

I have a Mono M80 Dual and it fits all three of my 35" scale basses just fine

...well, I mean, not at the same time! But, y'know, yeah, no problem accomodating typical 35" scale instruments. (I have Modulus Graphite Quantum-6, Rob Allen MB-2, and Lakland Skyline 55-02D.)

Summary so far. Please correct my understandings if I am wrong.

Mono M80
• Decent protection (or maybe very good protection) but not as good as Reunion Blues Continental
• Nice storage options
• Good protection around endpin at butt of bass
• Might cause harm to nitro finishes
• Not sure about water protection

Mono Vertigo
• Not as good protection as M80 (and therefore not as good as RB Continental either)
• Lightweight
• Good protection around endpin at butt of bass
• Might cause harm to nitro finishes
• Not sure about water protection

Reunion Blues Continental
• Probably the best of the bunch in terms of protection
• Not great storage options (but decent)
• Heavier than Mono products
• Rides high on the back
• Maybe taller than necessary (especially for 34" scale basses)
• Not sure about water protection

Fusion Urban
• Not enough info yet. I gather that it has a lot of storage options and seems to be very well made. The amp on the bag shows it is quite rigid. Seems hard to find.
• I'd really like to hear more about this bag

Protec Contego
• Not as well made as the others already mentioned but provides overall great protection
• Less expensive than the options above

iGig 515/525
• Need more info still. Sounds like very well made. Not sure about the handle. Seems harder to find.

Gator Pro Bag
• Need more info still
I found that I had to go through iGig to get their bag. I just got it not to long ago and have been pleased with it so far. My Pilot fits in it nicely where as its headstock used to poke out of my previous gig bag a "5 Star," that didn't provide a lot of protection.

I did a full review of the fusion dual bag here

no I did that here on this forum, post 151-153 I think right? I just saw someone quote the thred so far post you had made and the fusion said not enough info. A few pages before my post there was a good discussion about the Fusion as well with someone else about the single version and the add on packs...
